Proclamation <br />X57 <br />Mayor Beltran read a Proclamation honoring San Salvador Church Dedication Day, to be held on Sunday, March 14, <br />1976, and urged all of the community to attend the church dedication, patio festivities immediately following <br />the dedication, and dinner at E1 Sombrero Hall at 6:00 p. m. <br />Mayor Beltran presented the Proclamation to Father Peter Luque of San Salvador Church. <br />An,1nlIRNMFNT <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, Mayor Beltran adjourned the meeting at 8:10 p. m. <br />Approved this day of , 1976. <br />Mayor <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 16, 1976 <br />�- <br />HELEN A. RAMOS <br />City Clerk <br />City of Colton <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the <br />Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Beltran presiding. <br />Mayor Beltran led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Robert K. Johnson of the Colton Community Church. <br />Rnl I m I <br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Beltran. Also present were City Manager <br />Huffaker, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Mi niitAc <br />March 2, 1976 <br />March 9, 1976 <br />Warrants <br />5271 through 5546 <br />1846 through 2120 <br />March 11, 1976, Inclusive <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the Consent Calendar. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />League of California Cities <br />Citrus Belt Division <br />A letter from Harold A. Bailin, President, Citrus Belt Division, League of California Cities, was read regarding <br />making appointments for various division committees, and questioned if the Colton City Council members desired to <br />serve on any of the nine division committees. <br />Mayor Beltran stated that if any of the Council members wish to serve on one of these division committees, will <br />they please so inform the City Manager. <br />Proclamation <br />Camp Fire Girls <br />Mayor Beltran read a Proclamation honoring Camp Fire Girls Celebration Period, from March 17 through March 31, <br />1976. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve Proclamation honoring Camp Fire Girls <br />Celebration Period. Vote was unanimous. <br />Legislation <br />Mayor Beltran read his memorandum dated March 12, 1976, regarding Assembly Bill 1246 (Ingalls), and asked that <br />the other Council members join him in vigorously opposing this Bill, which would create county transportation <br />commissions funded by two percent of SB 325 funds in each county. <br />Mayor Beltran also advised that the League of California Cities and the Southern California Rapid Transit <br />District are opposing this measure too. <br />After discussion amond Council members, moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to accept <br />Mayor Beltran's memorandum dated March 12, 1976, and oppose Assembly Bill 1246. Vote was unanimous. <br />
