Mr. Young advised the County is requesting Colton's concurrence in this proposal and an indication as to the City's <br />preference for these funds, which can be outlined in a letter to be signed by the Mayor or the Director of Community <br />Services, which they would appreciate receiving by July 1, 1977, to proceed with necessary project development. <br />Mr. Young recommended that the City request its allocation, which will amount to approximately $7,977, as gas tax <br />dollars, on a dollar for dollar basis. <br />After Council discussion, moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, approving Staff's recommendation <br />for Colton's allocation of SOS funds, and authorizing Mayor to sign letter requesting same, to be prepared by <br />Staff. Vote was unanimous. <br />Multi -Service Center <br />Mayor Beltran advised that on June 21, 1977, the Board of Supervisors authorized an expenditure of $5,000 for <br />architectural design and modification of the plans and specifications to accommodate a medical clinic at the <br />proposed Multi -Service Center in Veterans Park. <br />Council Members indicated they were hopeful that additional funds will be forthcoming to continue and complete the <br />proposed project. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Claim <br />Victor Ramirez <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to deny Claim of Victor Ramirez versus the City of <br />Colton, as recommended by the insurance administrator. Vote was unanimous. <br />Claim <br />Jaylene Majourau <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to deny Claim of Jaylene Majourau versus the City of <br />Colton, as recommended by the insurance administrator. Unanimous vote. <br />RPtiramAnt <br />Social Security <br />Acting City Manager Johnsen recommended that this item be continued to a later date. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to continue the matter of withdrawal from the Social <br />Security System to the next regular Council Meeting. <br />Councilman Gonzales stated before voting on the motion, he would like to verify that Staff had been instructed to <br />table this matter for the Meet and Confer Sessions, as the Employee Associations had made certain stipulations and <br />advised that this was a negotiata.ble item. <br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to refer this matter to the Meet and Confer Sessions. <br />Vote was unanimous. <br />Agreements <br />Helicopter Service <br />Mr. Johnsen requested Council approval of the 1977-78 Fiscal Year contract between the City of Colton and the <br />County of San Bernardino for helicopter services, at a cost of $13,859.71, which has been included in the 1977-78 <br />Budget. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve contract with County for Helicopter <br />Services for the 1977-78 Fiscal Year, at a cost of $13,859.71. Vote was unanimous. <br />Agreements <br />Range Services <br />Mr. Johnsen requested Council approval of the 1977-78 Fiscal Year contract between the City of Colton and the <br />County of San Bernardino for Range Services and use of the Sheriff's Pistol Range by the Colton Police Department, <br />at a cost of $113.00. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve contract with County for Range Services <br />for the 1977-78 Fiscal Year, at a cost of $113.00. Vote was unanimous. <br />Budget <br />Transfer Funds <br />Mr. Johnsen requested approval of Resolution No. 3704, transferring monies to pay for increased gas costs for <br />Police vehicles and reallocation of funds in the Planning Department for professional services/temporary clerical <br />support. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution No. 3704. Vote was unanimous. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving "Informal Dress" for the Council Members, <br />during the months of July, August and September.
