<br />Councilman Rehrer moved for approval of Alternate No. 2, as outlined by Staff, regarding AB 450.

<br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Alternate No. 1, as outlined by Staff,
<br />with regard to AB 450. Motion carried, with Councilman Rehrer voting NO.
<br />Agreements
<br />Mr. Johnsen reported from his memorandum regarding approval of an Agreement between the City of Colton and the
<br />County of San Bernardino, to continue providing fire, rescue and paramedic services to County Service Area No. 38
<br />for the 1977-78 fiscal year.
<br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Agreement between City of Colton and
<br />County.of San Bernardino for continued fire, rescue and paramedic services for 1977-78 fiscal year, and authorizing
<br />Mayor to sign said Agreement. Vote was unanimous.
<br />Transportation
<br />SB 325 Claim
<br />Mr. Johnsen reported from his memorandum regarding the 1977-78 SB 325 funds to be allocated to the City of Colton,
<br />which will amount to $190,569.
<br />Mr. Johnsen advised that approximately $1275334 will be provided to OMNITRANS for continued bus service in 1977-78,
<br />and approximately $63,235 for the continuation of Dial -A -Ride service in Colton during the 1977-78 fiscal year,
<br />leaving a balance of approximately $9,000 for Highway Use in Colton next year.
<br />Mr. Johnsen concluded if Council concurs, Staff would request approval of Resolution No. 3693, authorizing the
<br />Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) to allocate these monies from the SB 325 funds to OMNITRANS
<br />as outlined.

<br />Redevelopment Agency
<br />Mr. Johnsen referred to his memorandum requesting approval of Resolution No. 3694, establishing a Redevelopment
<br />Agency Administrative Fund to provide a one year interim loan from the City to the Agency in the amount of $40,000,
<br />at an interest rate of 7%, to be repaid from funds available to the Redevelopment Agency, for Project No. V.
<br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Resolution No. 3694. Vote was unanimous.

<br />Mayor Beltran read a memorandum regarding recommendations for the reduction of OMNITRANS services in the City of
<br />Colton.
<br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to table this item until the next regular Council
<br />Meeting of June 7, 1977. Vote was unanimous.

<br />Mr. Val Lemon, 750 Berry Street, Colton, spoke to the Council Members with regard to the possibility of putting in
<br />street bumps on those streets in the projects area and reducing the speed limit, to prevent further accidents and
<br />casualties.
<br />Mayor Beltran stated that the Police Chief is working on a report concerning this matter, and this will be available
<br />within a few days.
<br />After additional discussion, moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, instructing Staff to
<br />obtain necessary information and costs relating to the request for street bumps and reduced speed signs, for report
<br />at the next regular Council Meeting. Vote was unanimous.
