Resolution No. 3803 Mayor Gonzales read in full Resolution No. 3803, supporting the construction of a nuclear power plant at a desert site in Blythe, California, to be called the Sundesert Nuclear Project, which will serve the electric power needs of Southern California. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve RESO- LUTION NO. 3803. Unanimous vote. PUBLIC HEARINGS: Zoning P. C. Res. No. 873 Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Planning Director Gonzales advised that the zone change application was re- quested by Carl E. Hupp, to change the zone from C-2, general commercial, to (� M-15 light manufacturing, on property located 379 feet north of the 'San (Y) Bernardino County line, fronting La Cadena Drive, Parcel No. 277-061-46. Mr. Gonzales said that the Planning Commission, at a public hearing held Q March 28, 1978, recommended approval of the zone change from C-2 to M-1. Q as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 873. Q Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1538 for First Reading, reading it as to number and title only, and recommending deletion of Line 19 within the body of the Ordinance which reads "or any other zone which the Planning Commis- sion deems appropriate". ORDINANCE NO. 1538 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. (First Reading) 964, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSI- FICATIONS. Moved by Councilman Rehrer,- seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to waive further reading of Ordinance No. 1538, with deletion as outlined. Unanimous vote. Weed Abatement Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported on a letter dated April 17, 1978, from Leonard H. Brown, President of Southern Commercial Corporation. Community Services Director Earl Young advised that notices of hearing were sent to all properties to be abated, and referred to a letter dated March 31, 1978, from John D. Krenzalek, which the Fire Department has responded to. Mr. Young stated if the City Council determines there are insufficient protests received regarding the weed abatement program, Staff would recommend approval of Resolution No. 3804. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote.
