122 <br />Mr. Duane Sharp, President of the Chamber of Commerce, thanked the <br />City Council for consideration. <br />Public Utilities <br />Mr. John Lear addressed the City Council saying he would like to <br />see the City Council consider a change in policy where utilities <br />are turned off when a citizen fails to pay a balance owing of $10.00 <br />within a specified period of time. Mr. Lear said it should be <br />possible to carry a $10.00 amount over to the next bill. <br />Community Services <br />Mayor Gonzales asked that the City Attorney review the Street Sweep- <br />ing Contract and bring it back to the Council for tomorrow night's <br />regular Council Meeting. <br />Councilmen Hayes and Rehrer, said they too would like to thank every- <br />one involved in preparation of the budget and wanted to acknowledge <br />a job well done by the City Manager and staff. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimous- <br />ly passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 7:28 p.m. <br />HELEN A. City of Colton <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />August 1, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Thomas Hirsch of St. John's Lutheran Church. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Gonzales.
