126 Phil Elliott, recommending that in lieu of purchasing two detective cars for an
estimated cost of $12,000, the City consider leasing two cars.
Mr. Elliott explained that a three year lease for two cars, at $135 per month, per
car, would cost $3,240 per year, with the first year's cost totalling $3,510, an
additional cost of $270 for the first and last month's lease in advance.
It was pointed out that this proposal would save approximately $8,490 this year
and free approximately $1,000 in depreciation costs.
Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to approve and authorize
the leasing of two detective cars for the Police Department as outlined by Staff.
Vote was unanimous.
ADJOl1RNMFNT
Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer and unanimously passed,
Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:35 p. m.
r le .
HELEN A.
