COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 17, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Beltran pre- <br />siding. <br />Mayor Beltran led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Robert K. Johnson of the Colton Community <br />Church. <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Gonzales, and Mayor Beltran. <br />Also present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk <br />Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />0) January 3, 1978 <br />Warrants <br />15662 through 15951 <br />13244 through 13466 <br />January 12, 1978 Inclusive <br />all <br />Deeds <br />Grant: Deed from A. E. Watwood. Approve and authorize recording. <br />Bids <br />Authorization to bid for furnishings for the Peter S. Luque and the Lawrence <br />A. Hutton Centers. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Gonzales, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Recreation and Parks Commission <br />Moved by Councilman Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, ratifying Mayor <br />Beltran's appointment of Mr. John Cervantes to the Recreation and Parks Commis- <br />sion. Vote was unanimous. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Appeals <br />P. C. Res. No. 859 <br />City Manager Calabrese referred to a written appeal, dated January 3, 1978, filed <br />by Mr. Robert S. Longwell, applicant, regarding his zone change application, Index <br />No. A-9-77, which was denied by the Planning Commission at a public hearing held <br />December 27, 1977, as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 859. <br />Mr. Calabrese advised the action requested of the City Council this evening is to <br />set the Appeal for Public Hearing, February 7, 1978, as set out in Section 18.48. <br />090 of the Colton Municipal Code. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, setting for Public <br />Hearing on Tuesday, February 7, 1978, Appeal filed by Mr. Robert S. Longwell, on <br />zone change application, Index No. A-9-77. Vote was unanimous. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 7:40 p. m., to discuss matters <br />of Litigation, and reconvened at 8:42 p. m., all Members present. <br />J <br />JAN 1978 <br />
