1 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />January 3, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 6:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Beltran pre- <br />siding. <br />Invocation was offered by Reverend James Hutton of the First Presbyterian Church of <br />Colton. <br />Mayor Beltran led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ROLL CAI 1 - <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Beltran. Also <br />present were City Manager Calabrese and Deputy City Clerk Veralrud. Absent was <br />Councilman Gonzales and City Clerk Ramos. <br />EXECUTIVE: SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 6:35 p. m., to discuss matters <br />of Litigation, and reconvened at 7:15 p. m., all Members present, and City Attorney <br />Edwards. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Minutes <br />December 20, 1977 <br />Warrantc <br />15351 through 15661 <br />13144 through 13243 <br />December 31, 1977 Inclusive <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the Consent <br />Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Boards and Commissions <br />Planning Commission <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, ratifying Mayor Beltran's <br />appointment of Mr. Richard Mosher to the Planning Commission. Unanimous vote. <br />Mayor Beltran stated that appointments to the Cemetery Commission, Recreation and Parks <br />Commission, and Housing Advisory & Appeals Board will be made at the next regular <br />Council Meeting, January 17, 1978. <br />HCDA Grant <br />Swimming Pool <br />Mayor Beltran advised the City has received word that the City of Colton will be <br />receiving a $100,000 grant towards the construction of a new swimming pool. Mayor <br />Beltran stated, as everyone is aware, this has been a high priority item of the <br />City Council for some time. Mayor Beltran concluded that the City Manager and Staff <br />should be commended for their active determination in pursuing this grant. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Zoning <br />P. C. Res. No. 857 <br />Mayor Beltran declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />JAN 31978 <br />
