MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />AWARDS <br />Resolutions of Commendation <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Resolution of Commendation for Gail Stovall and <br />presented it to her for years of service to the community as Director of the <br />Miss Colton Queen Contest. <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Resolution of Commendation for Jackie Rutledge <br />and presented it to her for her years of service to the community as Chairwoman <br />of the Miss Colton Queen Contest. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />Personnel Matters <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 7:43 p.m. on request of Councilman <br />Rehrer to discuss Personnel Matters. Mayor Gonzales pointed out <br />for the record that the position of Assistant to the City Manager is not a new <br />position and was formerly filled by Randy Johnsen, who during his employment was <br />instrumental in securing various grants being utilized currently by the City. <br />Upon roll call vote motion carried. Mayor Gonzales voting NO. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Community Relations/San Salvador Church <br />Mayor Gonzales reported the Council had before them a letter from Clara L. Armenta <br />requesting a dance permit, street closures, and city services for the San Salvador <br />Fiesta, August 5 & 65 1978. Mayor Gonzales stated that in addition the Fiesta <br />Committee has requested blockading of the alley between La Cadena Avenue and <br />7th Street. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the request <br />of San Salvador Church with the addition as stated by the Mayor. Unanimous vote. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />FINAL TRACT <br />No. 9963 <br />Community Services Director Young described Tract No. 9963, as a 39 -unit, single- <br />family residential development located north of Johnston Street, west of Grand. <br />Mr. Young reported all signatures, cash fees, bonds, and subdivision agreement <br />have been obtained and staff recommendation is for approval. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Tract No. 9963. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />FINAL TRACT <br />No. 9967 <br />Mr. Young described Tract No. 9967 as an 8 -unit, single-family residential develop- <br />ment and being an extension of Tract 9963. Mr. Young reported Tract No. 9967 was <br />JUL 1 c 1978 <br />
