94 <br />Mr. Newton House, property owner on Hunts Lane, indicated that he did not want to be <br />annexed to the City at this time. <br />Staff responded that this was not the hearing for the annexation as yet, that the <br />items before the Council tonight are the prezonings on those properties that are <br />to be considered for annexation in the near future. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to close the public hearing. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to waive full reading <br />of Ordinance No. 1543. Unanimous vote. <br />Ordinance No. 1543 read as to tile and number only by City Attorney Edwards. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1543 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />First Reading ORDINANCE NO. 964, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE <br />RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />LOT CLEANING <br />1978 Weed Abatement <br />Mayor Gonzales announced the time and place fixed for public hearing and declared the <br />public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that no protests or <br />objections had been received. <br />Community Services Director Young reported from his memorandum to the Council, dated <br />June 27, 1978, saying that a total of 323 parcels were abated and the contractor has <br />satisfactorily completed the 1978 program; it is therefore, recommended that the <br />Notice of Completion be recorded. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if there was anyone in the audience desiring to be heard. <br />No one addressed the Council. <br />On motion of Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, the public hearing <br />was closed. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to adopt Resolution No. 3831. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3831 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON CONFIRMING <br />THE REPORT OF THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON COST OF ABATING <br />NUISANCE. <br />CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING PLANNING <br />Assessment/Cooley Ranch Sewer (amended) <br />Mayor Gonzales announced this was the time and placed fixed for public hearing to <br />consider amended Assessment Cooley Ranch Sewer Assessment District Nos. 27, 28, 29B, <br />30B, 31B4E, and 32; and Assessment Nos. 27A, 27B, 28C, 28D, 29B1, 32G, and 33. <br />The Mayor declared the public hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests <br />or objections had been received. <br />Community Services Director.Young reported from his memorandum to the Council, dated <br />June 30, 1978 , saying because of land divisions within the Cooley Ranch Sewer Assess- <br />ment District, the assessment rolls and diagram need to be amended. Mr. Young con- <br />cluded by recommending the adoption of the resolutions confirming the amended <br />assessments. <br />No one addressed the Council. <br />Moved, by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to terminate the <br />public hearing.
