Mr. Gonzales stated the annexation known as West No. 30 was prezoned R -E, Residential Estates. ANNEXATIONS East No. 31 Planning Director Gonzales reported the resolution before the Council for consideration concerns Annexation East No. 31, consisting of 6.663 acres located between Washington Street and Barton Road, directly west of Hilltop Drive. Mr. Gonzales stated the annexation has been prezoned R -3X, Multiple -Family Residential with Special Conditions and has been approved by the LAFC. Mr. Gonzales recommended approval of Resolution No. 3835. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to adopt Resolution No. 3835. Unanimous vote. RESOLUTION NO. 3835 - RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESIGNATED "COLTON ANNEXATION EAST 31" TO THE CITY OF COLTON AND WITHDRAWING SAID ANNEXED AREA FROM COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 38 AND IMPROVEMENT ZONE G OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 38, AND COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 70 AND IMPROVEMENT ZONE A OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 70. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT Index No . s C-6-78 & C-7-78 Planning Director Gonzales reported from his memorandum to the Council, dated June 28, 1978, saying the applicant for this conditional use permit proposes to construct a single -story training facility for journeyman plumbers, fitters and refrigeration technicians with concurrent construction of offices and meeting hall for U.A. Local Union 364 on adjacent lot split property at the corner of Rancho Avenue and "K" Street. Mr. Gonzales stated review of the submitted site plans indicate the proposed use and site design conforms with regulations set forth under the light manufacturing zone, the proposed projects are consistent with the current base zoning designation, and would be compatible with the surrounding uses, therefore, recommendation is for approval of Planning Commission Resolution No. 881.
