COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 21, 1978 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on <br />the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, <br />Mayor Gonzales presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Robert K. Johnson of the Colton <br />Community Church. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Calabrese, City Attorney Edwards, and City <br />Clerk Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Councilman Rehrer requested that Item No. 3, Bids, be removed from the <br />Consent Calendar and discussed later in the meeting. <br />Mi niitac <br />March 7, 1978 <br />March 14, 1978 <br />Warranfc <br />16839, 16852 through 17139 <br />14013 through 14260 <br />March 16, 1978 Inclusive <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve <br />Item Nos. 1 and 2 of the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Griffin Wheel Company: <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Resolution of Commendation honoring the Griffin <br />Wheel Company and their anniversary of its 100th year in operation. The Reso- <br />lution was accepted by Mr. Richard Weisberg, Office Manager of the Griffin <br />Wheel Company. <br />National Library Week: <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a..Proclamation honoring National Library Week, <br />April 2 through 8, 1978, which was accepted by Dr. Renald J. Anelle, Chair- <br />man of the Library Board. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Street Vacations <br />urange Show Road <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />Community Services Director Earl Young advised the Planning Commission re- <br />viewed and discussed the proposed street vacation at a meeting held January <br />10, 1978, and recommended approval of the vacation of Orange Show Road right- <br />of-way, with the stipulation that the right-of-way for the alternate route be <br />deeded to the City simultaneously. Mr. Young stated that Mr. Robert Moody <br />has advised he would present the deed for the alternate route right-of-way <br />at the public hearing this evening. <br />Mr. Robert Moody, Manager of the Inland Golf Center in Colton, stated the <br />Grant Deed has been signed by the grantors involved, with the exception of <br />Mr. Clifton Wolf, who has advised he will be forwarding the deed within the <br />next few days. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone desired to speak on this matter. <br />MAR!, is 1978 <br />
