4 4 City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1537 for First Reading, read- <br />ing it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1537 - ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING <br />First Reading FOR CONTRIBUTION FUNDS TO APPLY AS CREDITS UPON LEVIED <br />ASSESSMENTS IN CERTAIN SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS. <br />Lease/Agreement <br />Mr. Calabrese reported on the lease,.dated February 1, 1961, between the City <br />of Colton and the County of San Bernardino for the Justice Court facility, and <br />a proposed amendment thereto, which would allow the County to expand the Court <br />and in return the County will pave the proposed parking lot, located at the <br />southeast corner of 9th and "D" -Streets, and increase their pro -rata for main- <br />tenance and upkeep costs for the Civic Center to 12.3% of total costs. <br />Mr. Calabrese stated the Council previously reviewed and approved the plans <br />for the building addition, and Staff recommends the Mayor be authorized to <br />execute the amendment to the lease agreement with the County of San Bernardino. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve and <br />authorize Mayor to execute amendment to lease agreement between the City of <br />Colton and the County of San Bernardino regarding expansion of Colton Justice <br />Court facility. Unanimous vote. <br />Bids <br />1978 Police Patrol Units <br />Mr. Calabrese advised that five bids were received to furnish and deliver <br />ten new 1978 Police Special Units, and Staff recommends awarding the bid <br />to Center Chevrolet in the amount of $58,051.54, for ten new 1978 Nova four - <br />door sedans. <br />Moved by Councilman.Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, awarding bid to <br />Center Chevrolet, in the amount of $58,051.54, for ten new 1978 Police <br />Special Units. Unanimous vote. <br />Bids <br />Community Centers <br />Councilman Rehrer stated that he had requested this item, concerning ad- <br />vertisement for bids on kitchen equipment for the Community Centers, be <br />removed from the Consent Calendar, as he felt the former City policies <br />and procedures should be followed on this particular item, by advertise- <br />ment in the newspaper and requesting bid security, giving more vendors <br />the opportunity to bid on this item. <br />Mr. Calabrese asked Councilman Rehrer if he was recommending that this <br />procedure be followed on all bids. <br />Councilman Rehrer said not necessarily, however, on this item concerning <br />the kitchen equipment for the Community Centers, he was requesting that <br />the regular bidding procedures be followed. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, authorizing Staff <br />to advertise for bids on kitchen equipment for the Lawrence A. Hutton and <br />Peter S. Luque Community Centers as outlined. Vote was unanimous. <br />CTTY ATTnRNFY'S RFPnRTS AND RFrnMMFNnATTnN_ <br />Ordinance No. 1534 <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1534 for second reading, read- <br />ing it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE N0. 1534 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />Second Reading NO. 964, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE <br />RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to waive further <br />reading of Ordinance No. 1534.
