Unanimous vote. <br />Community Centers <br />City Manager Calabrese reported from a letter dated November 15, 1978, from Leslie <br />R. Senk, President of Senk & Anderson Construction Company, Contractors for the <br />Lawrence A. Hutton Community Center and the Peter S. Luque Multi -Service Center, <br />advising that both of the Centers have been completed since June, 1978, and re- <br />questing that the City now release the funds that are being held, in the amount of <br />$76,862.30, plus payment for the extra electrical work which was required over and <br />above the scope of the contract. <br />Councilman Rehrer commented that if the Centers are not yet 100 percent complete, <br />the money should not be released. <br />Councilman Hayes commented on the thermostatic controls at the Centers, which he <br />had checked into himself, stating these controls are, in fact, difficult to operate <br />Q� and are not the ordinary kind often used. <br />� <br />Mr. Calabrese stated this item was brought before the Council for their information. <br />Q PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Q <br />Q Zoning <br />P. No. 901 <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to set for Public <br />Hearing on Tuesday, December 5, 1978, Planning Commission Resolution No. 901, <br />Index No. A-12-78. Unanimous vote. <br />RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Pin rrAatinn <br />Mayor Gonzales read a memorandum dated November 17, 1978, from the Recreation <br />Director regarding the Recreation and Parks Commission request, on behalf of <br />the newly formed Colton Youth Soccer League, for financial aide in the amount <br />of approximately $660 to get this program underway. <br />Councilman Hayes stated he had been advised by the Recreation Director there are <br />funds available in the Recreation Department budget to cover this. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving newly <br />formed Colton Youth Soccer League and request for financial aide in the amount <br />of $660, to be allocated from the Recreation Department budget and administered <br />by the Recreation Director. Unanimous vote. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Agreements <br />Transportation <br />City Manager Calabrese referred to a memorandum dated November 14, 1978, attach- <br />ments and a proposed Agreement, between the City of Colton and Yellow Checker <br />Leasing, Inc., regarding continuation of a Dial -A -Ride Program for the City of <br />Colton. <br />Mr. Calabrese stated if the Council Members had any questions on the material <br />that had been submitted to them, he would be happy to answer them. <br />Councilman Rehrer stated he would like to see something done about the vehicle <br />marking and the high signs on top of the cars. <br />Mr. Calabrese stated it is his understanding that these signs on top of the vehicles <br />will be removed. <br />Councilman Rehrer questioned the type of inspections that are made on these <br />vehicles. <br />Mr. Calabrese stated he would have to check into that matter as he did not know <br />at the present time. <br />NI OV 211978 <br />
