The Chief explained
the Blue Area as that area that would be covered if a fire station were located on
the proposed site before the Council tonight. Lastly, the Chief pointed out the
Yellow Area as that area that would be covered if a station were to be located on
the City owned Wallin site. The Chief said the Wallin site would tend to lean towards
coverage of the Grand Terrace area.
Discussion followed with Miss Millie Herrera, Mrs. Marina Vidaurri, and Councilwoman
Cisneros opposing the proposed location of a fire station on the Cooley Ranch.
Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to accept the Grant Deed.
The motion failed.
