Acti on <br />S" Consulting Services <br />143 <br />Mayor Gonzales referred to a letter dated September 14, 1978, from Beltran & Hicks, <br />General Consultants, offering the services of their firm to the City of Colton as <br />Consultants. <br />Mr. James M. Hicks, representing the firm, stated their offer of services would <br />include assisting the City Council and Staff in areas where they may not have <br />the necessary personnel to carry out the preparation of reports and other docu- <br />ments and work that they wish to accomplish, such as grant application prepara- <br />tion, economic development representation, preparation of studies and reports <br />the City Council and Staff might need, researching, and other general consulting <br />services. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to file the letter from <br />Beltran and Hicks for future reference and thank the firm for their offer. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Conditional Use Permits <br />(� P. C. Res. #891 <br />co <br />Planning Director Gonzales reported on Planning Commission Resolution No. 891, <br />Q concerning a Conditional Use Permit application requested by G -W Land Company <br />to construct 293 single-family residences on Tentative Tract No. 10442 located <br />north of Washington Street, which was denied by the Planning Commission at a <br />Q[ public hearing held September 12, 1978. <br />Mr. Gonzales referred to a letter dated September 14, 1978, from the engineering <br />firm for the project, requesting that this matter be referred back to the Planning <br />Commission to present a revised tentative map and other changes in the project. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to refer back to the <br />Planning Commission Conditional Use Permit application, Index No. C-9-78, re- <br />garding Tentative Tract No. 10442. Unanimous vote. <br />Conditional Use Permit <br />P. C. Res. #892 <br />Mr. Gonzales reported on a Conditional Use Permit application requested by <br />Heritage Development, Inc., to construct 25 four-plex units on property con- <br />taining approximately 6.9 acres located south of Washington Street, west of <br />Center Drive and northwest of Hilltop Drive. Mr. Gonzales stated the develop- <br />ment will contain a swimming pool, jacuzzi, covered patio, laundry room, recrea- <br />tional vehicle storage area, and a landscaped walkway through the project. <br />Mr. Gonzales advised that the Planning Commission considered the application <br />at a public hearing held September 12, 1978, and recommend approval of the <br />Conditional Use Permit subject to 13 conditions as outlined in Planning Com- <br />mission Resolution No. 892. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 892. Unanimous vote. <br />Conditional Use Permit <br />P. C. Res. #893 <br />Mr. Gonzales reviewed his memorandum dated September 13, 1978, concerning a Con- <br />ditional Use Permit application requested by Country Village Partnership to con- <br />struct 2 professional buildings on property containing approximately 2.69 acres <br />which is currently vacant land located north of Washington Street, east of the <br />E- Z 8 Motel. <br />Mr. Gonzales explained that the architectural design of the structures will con- <br />sist of woodsiding and solar bronze glass and will be constructed in phases, with <br />the building fronting on Washington Street to be the initial structure; each build- <br />ing containing 23,800 square feet of floor area and landscaping, including a <br />stream system. <br />SEP 1VE1975 <br />
