City Manager <br />Calabrese was excused from attending. <br />ORO T NANC:F <br />City Attorney Edwards reported he was in reciept of a letter from Mr. John E. <br />Brown of Best, Best & Krieger dated August 1, 1979, in which it is recommended <br />that the City adopt an urgency ordinance imposing a 30 -day moratorium on the <br />acceptance and processing of subdivision maps. <br />Mr. Edwards explained this comes about from the July 31 meeting of the Sewer Com- <br />mittee between Colton and Grand Terrace. Mr. Edwards said adoption of the ordi- <br />nance tonight is recommended because the City Council of Grand Terrace will be <br />taking the same action tonight and the 30 -day period would coincide in both cities. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Temby, to waive full reading of <br />Ordinance No. 1567. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Temby to adopt Ordinance No. <br />1567 as an urgency matter. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1567 <br />AGRFFMFNT <br />E. A. Demchuk <br />- AN INTERIM URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON ESTABLISH- <br />ING A MORATORIUM ON THE PROCESSING AND FILING OF SUBDIVISION <br />MAPS TO ASSIST IN SOLVING THE CITY'S WASTEWATER TREATMENT <br />PROBLEM. <br />City Attorney Edwards reported the Council has before them an agreement stating <br />the terms and conditions of employment by and between the City and Mr. E. A. <br />Demchuk for legal counsel in the matter of intention to remove the City Manager. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros stated she would prefer to discuss the agreement after <br />Executive Session. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The Council adjourned to executive session at 6:23 p. m., to discuss personnel <br />and possible litigation. <br />The Council reconvened at 9:38 p. m., all members present. The mayor reported <br />the Council had been in Executive Session to discuss personnel and possible <br />litigation matters. <br />An.in11RNMFNT <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros and unanimously <br />passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:40 p. m., to meet for an <br />Adjourned Regular Meeting on Friday, August 3, 1979, at 6:00 p. m. in the Council <br />Chambers of City Hall. <br />HELEN A.
