After discussion, on Council consensus, the date of Monday, December 10, 1979, at 4 <br />6:30 p. m. was agreed upon for the interviews. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 1574 <br />First Reading <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1574 for First Reading, explaining <br />that this ordinance concerns a joint public hearing previously held by the Ci-ty <br />Council and the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton with regard to Amend- <br />ment No. 2 to the Redevelopment Plan for the Cooley Ranch, Project No. 4. Mr. <br />Edwards then read the number and title only of Ordinance No. 1574. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1574 - ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON APPROVING <br />First Reading AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE <br />COOLEY RANCH, PROJECT NO. 4. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Temby, to pass First Reading and <br />waive further reading of Ordinance No. 1574. Unanimous vote. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />CD <br />(Y� Permits <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, approving Dance Permit <br />requested by Mrs. Bea Hernandez for dance to be held at the Peter S. Luque Center <br />on Wednesday, December 12, 1979, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m., in conjunction with <br />Q dedication ceremonies. Unanimous vote. <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Mr. Jess Vasquez, 677 South 8th Street, Colton, stated in order to get a good cross- <br />section of people on the poker parlor committee and comments from all sections of <br />the community, he requested that he be appointed to the newly established ad hoc <br />committee. <br />Councilman Rehrer appointed Jess Vasquez to the Ad Hoc Committee for a proposed <br />poker parlor club in Colton. <br />Pollution <br />Air/Noise <br />Mr. Frank Smith 277 West F Street, Colton, again complained to the City Council with <br />regard to problems concerning the Union Pacific Railroad and Hal Kelley Grain Mill <br />Company. <br />Mr. Smith suggested the City Council recommend to the railroad company installing <br />a fence at the railroad property between "E" and "F" Streets, where residents con- <br />tinually cross the tracks under the parked train cars, to avoid any serious accidents. <br />The City Council instructed our Legal Staff to write appropriate letters to the rail- <br />road company. <br />Poker Parlor Club Committee <br />Mr. Wes Hayden, President of the Colton Chamber of Commerce, suggested to the City <br />Council that letters be sent to the members of the newly formed Committee to study <br />the proposed poker parlor club in Colton, advising them of their appointments. <br />ADJOURNMFNT- <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros and unanimously passed, <br />Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 9:50 p. m., to meet for an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting on Monday, December 10, 1979, at 6:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City <br />Hall. <br />HELEN A.
