Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation naming July as Sudden Infant Death <br />Syndrome Awareness Month. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Zoning <br />General Plan Amendment <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />265 <br />Planning Director Gonzales advised the Planning Department has completed an Environ- <br />mental Assessment for General Plan Amendment of two areas, Index No. A-9-79, and <br />recommend.approval of the Negative Declaration. <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that <br />no protests or objections had been received. <br />City Manager Calabrese reported on the costs and charges for the 1979 Weed Abate- <br />ment Program, comparing figures for 1978 and 1979, and advised that the City charges <br />were computed at 20 percent of the contract cost for each parcel. <br />Mr. Calabrese said a total of 339 parcels were abated and the contractor has satis- <br />factorily completed the 1979 Program, at a cost of $20,867.53, therefore, Staff <br />recommends that the Notice of Completion be filed for recording. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone in the audience desired to speak in favor of or in <br />opposition to this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Temby, to terminate the Public <br />Hearing. Vote was unanimous. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution <br />No. 3921, and file the Notice of Completion for recording. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3921 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON CON- <br />FIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON COST <br />OF ABATING NUISANCE. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Planning <br />Trailer Request <br />Planning Director Gonzales reported from his memorandum dated June 27, 1979, ad- <br />vising that in accordance with Section 18.32.070 of the Colton Municipal Code, <br />Mr. Don Kleckner has submitted a letter and plot plan requesting permission to <br />locate a mobile home on the "Choose & Cut" Christmas Tree farm located at 692 <br />Agua Mansa Road to be used as a caretaker's dwelling and office. <br />Mr. Gonzales stated the property is zoned M-1, light manufacturing, which would <br />permit the requested use and, therefore, Staff recommends approval. <br />JUL 3 1979 <br />Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone in the <br />audience desired to <br />speak in favor of or in <br />opposition to this matter. <br />0) <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, <br />seconded <br />by Councilman <br />Temby, <br />to terminate the Public <br />M <br />Hearing.
