Proclamations Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation naming July as Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Awareness Month. PUBLIC HEARINGS: Zoning General Plan Amendment Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. 265 Planning Director Gonzales advised the Planning Department has completed an Environ- mental Assessment for General Plan Amendment of two areas, Index No. A-9-79, and recommend.approval of the Negative Declaration. Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Deputy City Clerk Veralrud submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported that no protests or objections had been received. City Manager Calabrese reported on the costs and charges for the 1979 Weed Abate- ment Program, comparing figures for 1978 and 1979, and advised that the City charges were computed at 20 percent of the contract cost for each parcel. Mr. Calabrese said a total of 339 parcels were abated and the contractor has satis- factorily completed the 1979 Program, at a cost of $20,867.53, therefore, Staff recommends that the Notice of Completion be filed for recording. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone in the audience desired to speak in favor of or in opposition to this matter. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Temby, to terminate the Public Hearing. Vote was unanimous. Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution No. 3921, and file the Notice of Completion for recording. Unanimous vote. RESOLUTION NO. 3921 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON CON- FIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET SUPERINTENDENT ON COST OF ABATING NUISANCE. PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Planning Trailer Request Planning Director Gonzales reported from his memorandum dated June 27, 1979, ad- vising that in accordance with Section 18.32.070 of the Colton Municipal Code, Mr. Don Kleckner has submitted a letter and plot plan requesting permission to locate a mobile home on the "Choose & Cut" Christmas Tree farm located at 692 Agua Mansa Road to be used as a caretaker's dwelling and office. Mr. Gonzales stated the property is zoned M-1, light manufacturing, which would permit the requested use and, therefore, Staff recommends approval.
