COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Parcel Map s <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve Parcel <br />Map No. 4846, and authorize execution of the City Council certificate. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />Parcel Maps <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to approve_ Parcel <br />Map No. 5218, and authorize execution of the City Council certificate. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />Special Assessments <br />Assessment Dist. No. 78-1 <br />City Manager Calabrese reported from a memorandum dated June 1, 1979, from City <br />Engineer, Daniel H. Burnett, regarding Change Order No. 2, dated January 9, 19795 <br />and Change Order No. 3, dated April 10, 1979, increasing the Contract amount by <br />$21,404.08, Pay Request No. 8, dated April 18, 1979, and accepting and filing the <br />Notice of Completion for Assessment District No. 78-1. <br />Mr: Calabrese stated that Staff recommends approval of these items, as outlined <br />in the memorandum. <br />253 <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving Change Orders <br />Nos. 2 and 3, payment of Pay Request No. 8, and accepting and filing the Notice of <br />Completion for Contract "A", Assessment District No. 78-1. Unanimous vote. <br />Bids <br />Mr. Calabrese advised that Staff is requesting permission to waive formal bid pro- <br />cedures for the repair of our Well No. 7, and to begin work on the well as soon as <br />possible. Mr. Calabrese outlined the material necessary to repair the well, at an <br />estimated cost of approximately $20,000, which is available in the current budget. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving and authoriz- <br />ing Staff to waive formal bid procedures for the repair of Well No. 7. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />Trart FilPc <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to approve Tract Nos. <br />103065 103075 10308 and 10309 as outlined by Staff. Unanimous vote. <br />RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Community Centers <br />Recreation Director, Max Lofy, made a presentation to the Council Members with re- <br />gard to use of both Community Centers on week -ends and Holidays, should the City <br />Council decide to grant such use, and the costs involved. <br />Mr. Lofy advised that the fee schedule outlined in his memorandum, dated May 29, <br />1979, is the same as that listed in the Rules and Regulations, previously adopted <br />by the City Council, governing the use of the Centers. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Temby, adopting fee schedule, as <br />outlined by Recreation Director's Memo dated May 29, 1979, for us -e of either Com- <br />munity Center on week -ends and holidays, when applicable. Unanimous vote. <br />Mr. Lofy was directed to make a study of the use and cost of community centers, <br />week -ends and holidays, in surrounding communities. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Agreements <br />C. D. B. G. Program <br />City Manager Calabrese advised that each year an agreement is renewed between the <br />City of Colton and the County Office of Community Development for administration <br />of Community Development Block Grant funds and implementation of City programs <br />and projects by the County. <br />JUN 5 1979 <br />
