Mrs. Garcia cautioned the City Council and Staff involved with the investigation 2r
concerning the City Clerk and City Treasurer, stating they should keep in mind
that these two individuals are also elected officials and, as such, have a con-
ing and constituency that put them in their respective offices. Mrs. Garcis said
the Clerk and Treasurer serve the public and are answerable to them, not the City
Council.
Mrs. Garcia also commented on sections of Resolution No. 3612, and an additional
amount of $150. for reimbursement of expenses to Council Members, stating this
was excessive because the Council Members now have plush offices in City Hall
that were built at the expense of the taxpayers. Mrs.
Garcia concluded the City Council should get back to taking care of really im-
portant issues and governing the City.
Mr. Harold Loufek, 1286 Holly Avenue, Colton, spoke to the Council Members regard-
ing their recent trip to San Francisco and other expenditures, and asked how this
would benefit the citizens of Colton.
RECESS:
The City Council recessed at 9:12 p. m., to meet as the Redevelopment Agency for
the City of Colton, and reconvened at 9:43 P. m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
The City Council aduourned to Executive Session at 9:44 p. m., to discuss Personnel
Q Matters, and reconvened at 10:23 p. m., all Members present.
Q
An,lnlIRNMFNT
Moved by Councilman Temby, seconded by Councilman Hayes and unanimously passed,
Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 10:25 p. m.
1
HELEN A.
