Vote was unanimous. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Resolution of Commendation <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Resolution of Commendation on behalf of Eugene A. <br />Helsley, Director of Finance, who was recently awarded the professional creden- <br />tial of Certified Municipal Finance Administrator from the Municipal Treasurers <br />Association of United State and Canada, which was presented to Mr. Helsley along <br />with a framed certificate. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Personnel <br />Finance Department <br />(� Mayor Gonzales advised that Staff has requested the Public Hearing item, concerning <br />amending the Pay and Classification Plan for the City, be withdrawn from the Agenda, <br />for discussion with the employees' associations. <br />Q A peals <br />Colton Iron & Metal <br />Mayor Gonzales referred to a letter dated September 18, 1979, from Don C. Bickley, <br />Attorney at Law, representing Colton Iron and Metal, requesting removal of the <br />Appeal matter from the Agenda. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Executive Session at 7:43 p. m., to discuss matters <br />of Personnel, and reconvened at 8:25 p. m., all Members present. <br />RECESS: <br />The City Council recessed the meeting at 8:26 p.. m., to conduct the business of <br />the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton, and reconvened at 8:40 p. m. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Luque Community Center <br />Mayor Gonzales read.a letter dated September 17, 1979, from Father Gustavo Benson <br />of San Salvador Church, requesting the use of the Council Chambers and the Peter <br />Luque Community Center for a period of two months, beginning October 1, 1979, from <br />7:00 to 8:00 p. m., for religious education classes while the church classrooms <br />are being completed. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approving request of <br />San Salvador Church for use of the Council Chambers and the Peter Luque Community <br />Center for religious education classes as outlined. Vote was unanimous. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Mayor Gonzales stated the City Attorney would like to take care of Item No. 20, con- <br />cerning second reading of Ordinance No. 1568, prior to discussing Planning Commission <br />Item No. 10. <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1568 for Second Reading, readi-ng.it <br />as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1568 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 964, <br />Second Reading AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros to pass Second Reading and waive further reading of <br />Ordinance No. 1568.
