435 <br />Resolution No. 4008 <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Resolution No. 4008, reading it as to title and <br />number. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4008. Motion carried. Councilwoman Cisneros voting NO. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4008 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ADOPT- <br />ING A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81. <br />Resolution No. 4009 <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4009. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4009 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON FIX- <br />ING AND ESTABLISHING THE TAX RATE FOR THE BONDED INDEBTED- <br />NESS OF THE CITY OF COLTON FOR THE 1980-81 FISCAL YEAR. <br />Permits <br />0) Mayor Gonzales said the City Council has before them a request for a Vehicle Sound <br />(Y) Permit from the Colton S.D.A. Church, Vacation Bible School Staff. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the Sound <br />Q Vehicle Permit as requested. Unanimous vote. <br />Q <br />Q Personnel <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to instruct staff to commence <br />advertising for the position of City Manager. Motion carried. Councilwoman Cisneros <br />voting NO. <br />GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES <br />County of San Bernardino <br />City Attorney Edwards reported that he had received notice that the County of San <br />Bernardino in consideration of the 1980-81 Fiscal Year Budget, is proposing to <br />eliminate the Colton Justice Court as of October 1, 1980. Mr. Edwards asked what <br />action Council wished him to take. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to authorize the Mayor <br />to write a letter to the Board of Supervisors objecting to the elimination of the <br />Colton Justice Court and to authorize the City Attorney and the Acting City Manager <br />to attend the meeting of the Board to voice this objection on behalf of the City. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />An.ini IRNMFNT <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia and unanimously passed, <br />Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:45 p. m. <br />HELEN A.
