Unanimous vote. <br />Building and Safety <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the Building <br />and Safety Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />Planning <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the Planning <br />Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />Civil Defense <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia to approve the Civil <br />Defense Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />Debt Service <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the Debt Service <br />Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />Non -Departmental <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the Non -Depart- <br />mental Budget. Unanimous vote. <br />City Manager <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the City Manager <br />Budget, deleting the position of City Auditor, but placing this position in the <br />Finance Budget. Motion carried. Councilwoman Cisneros voting NO. <br />Finance <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the Finance <br />Budget with the inclusion of the City Adutiro position. Motion carried. Council- <br />woman Cisneros voting NO. <br />City Treasurer <br />Mayor Gonzales stated that in regards to the salary increase requested by the City <br />Treasurer based on the added responsibility of monitoring delinquent payments in <br />assessment districts, he would recommend the Council look at approving half of the <br />requested increase. <br />Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve a salary of <br />$3,600 for the City Treasurer, the increase to be reflected as supplemental. Motion <br />carried. Councilwoman Cisneros voting NO. <br />Councilwoman Cisneros stated she would like the record to reflect that in her opinion, <br />there is an overlapping in work being done in the assessment districts. Councilwoman <br />Cisneros stated that ehen the Administrative Assistant was hired for the Redevelopment <br />Agency, she asked and was told that this person would be looking into the delinquent <br />assessments. <br />City Treasurer, Mrs. Berkebile, addressed the City Council saying that no one in <br />RDA would be or is handling the delinquent assessments. <br />City Attorney Edwards advised the City Council that due to the salary increase grant- <br />ed the City Treasurer, an amendment to Resolution No. 4011 would be needed to show a <br />change in the supplemental salary. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to strike the supplemental <br />amount of $345.00 shown for the City Treasurer salary and insert the amount of $645. <br />Motion carried.
