Building and Safety Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the Building and Safety Budget. Unanimous vote. Planning Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve the Planning Budget. Unanimous vote. Civil Defense Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia to approve the Civil Defense Budget. Unanimous vote. City Manager Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the City Manager Budget, deleting the position of City Auditor, but placing this position in the Finance Budget. Motion carried. Councilwoman Cisneros voting NO. Finance Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve the Finance Budget with the inclusion of the City Adutiro position. Motion carried. Council- woman Cisneros voting NO. City Treasurer Mayor Gonzales stated that in regards to the salary increase requested by the City Treasurer based on the added responsibility of monitoring delinquent payments in assessment districts, he would recommend the Council look at approving half of the requested increase. Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve a salary of $3,600 for the City Treasurer, the increase to be reflected as supplemental. Motion carried. Councilwoman Cisneros voting NO. Councilwoman Cisneros stated she would like the record to reflect that in her opinion, there is an overlapping in work being done in the assessment districts. Councilwoman Cisneros stated that ehen the Administrative Assistant was hired for the Redevelopment Agency, she asked and was told that this person would be looking into the delinquent assessments. City Treasurer, Mrs. Berkebile, addressed the City Council saying that no one in RDA would be or is handling the delinquent assessments. City Attorney Edwards advised the City Council that due to the salary increase grant- ed the City Treasurer, an amendment to Resolution No. 4011 would be needed to show a change in the supplemental salary. Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to strike the supplemental amount of $345.00 shown for the City Treasurer salary and insert the amount of $645. Motion carried.
