Upon Roll Call, the <br />Vote was: <br />AYES: Two; Garcia, Gonzales. <br />NOES: Two; Hayes, Rehrer. <br />ABSENT: One; Cisneros. <br />Motion did not carry. <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Community Services <br />Off -Site Improvements <br />Community Services Director Calvin Wang advised that property owners adjacent to <br />Walnut Street, between Congress and Maple Streets, have presented a petition, <br />representing more than sixty percent of the property owners, requesting installa- <br />tion of curb, gutter and sidewalk, pursuant to Chapter 27, Division 7 of the <br />Streets and Highways Code. <br />Mr. Wang stated if Council is in agreement, it would be in order to adopt Resolu- <br />tion No. 4023, a Resolution of Intention, setting this matter for public hearing <br />on Tuesday, September 2, 1980. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to approve Resolution <br />No. 4023. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4023 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DECLAR- <br />ING ITS INTENTION TO CAUSE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 5870 ET SEQ., OF THE <br />STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. <br />Street Maintenance <br />Alley Paving <br />Mr. Wang reported on petitions received, representing over sixty percent of the <br />property owners, requesting asphalt paving of the alleys at the following loca- <br />tions: <br />Between 9th and 10th Streets, and "N" and 110" Streets <br />Between "F" and "G" Streets, and 12th and 13th Streets <br />Between "E" and "F" Streets, and Pennsylvania Avenue <br />Mr. Wang stated if Council concurs, it would be in order to adopt Resolution <br />Nos. 4024, 4025 and 4026, setting this matter for public hearing on Tuesday, <br />September 2, 1980. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, approving Resolution Nos. <br />40245 4025 and 4026. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4024 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DECLAR- <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4025 ING ITS INTENTION TO CAUSE CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4026 PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 5870 ET SEQ., OF THE <br />STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />rahla TV <br />Acting City Manager Elliott reported from a memorandum dated July 31, 1980, regard- <br />ing the requirement of posting a $25,000 faithful performance bond by Buena Vista <br />Cable TV, which was a provision of the non-exclusive franchise awarded to Buena <br />Vista, pursuant to Ordinance.'No. 1578. <br />Mr. Elliott concluded Staff recommends that the Council require Buena Vista Cable <br />TV to post a $25,000 faithful performance bond. <br />Mr. Ed Sterling, General Manager of Buena Vista Cable TV, stated the amount of <br />$25,000 for the faithful performance bond was agreeable with the company. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, approving Staff's recom- <br />mendation regarding the $25,000 faithful performance bond from Buena Vista Cable <br />TV.
