496 <br />Mr. Trevino advised the reorganization would involve the new classification of Police <br />Captain in the Police Department, and deletion of the classification Fire Operations <br />Officer and the addition of the classification Fire Division Chief in the Fire Depart- <br />ment. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Hayes, approval to set for <br />public hearing, on Tuesday, January 6, 1981, amendments to the City's Pay and Classi- <br />fication Plan relating to the Police and Fire Departments. Unanimous vote. <br />Community Relations <br />Ford Memorial <br />Mr. Trevino gave a status report on the L. J. Snow Memorial,.advising that the Snow <br />family has contributed $1,500 to the City towards the establishment of a fund to <br />assist needy people in the purchase of cemetery lots. <br />Mr. Trevino stated Staff will keep the City Council informed on the progress of <br />this fund and how it is to be structured. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 1594 <br />Second Reading <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1594 for Second Reading, reading <br />it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1594 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMEND - <br />Second Reading ING ORDINANCE NO. 9643 AS AMENDED, BY ADDING CHAPTER 18.29 TO <br />THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1450. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Garcia, seconded by Councilman Hayes, to pass second reading <br />and adopt Ordinance No. 1594.
