Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4060 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4011, ESTABLISHING A PAY AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN <br />FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF COLTON, EFFECTIVE JULY 15 1980. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Variances <br />P.C. Res. No. 976 <br />Mr. Joseph J. Fazio, Interim Planning Director, reported on a Variance application <br />requested by Mr. G. Cuellar to construct a family room addition, consisting of ap- <br />proximately 448 square feet, to the rear of an existing dwelling and reduce the re- <br />quired rear yard setback from 25 feet to 12-1, feet on property located in an R-1 <br />zone at 1868 Evelyn Circle. - <br />Mr. Fazio advised that the Planning Commission reviewed this item at a public hear- <br />ing held December 9, 1980, and recommended approval of the Variance application as <br />outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 976. <br />(� Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Planning <br />(Y) Commission Resolution No. 976, together with findings as listed therein. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />Q Conditional Use Permits <br />P. C. Res. No. 977 <br />Mr. Fazio reviewed a memorandum relating to a Conditional Use Permit application re- <br />quested by Mr. D. Kuser to construct a single family, three bedroom residence and <br />double car garage, containing approximately 1,357 square feet of living space, on <br />property zoned R-14 located at the northwest corner of La Loma Avenue and La Cadena <br />Drive. <br />Mr. Fazio stated this project is considered low density residential and consistent <br />with the general plan and surrounding uses. Mr. Fazio advised there is a possibi- <br />lity of the future widening of La Loma Avenue, which has been discussed with the <br />Community Services Department, however, it has been determined that this would not <br />substantially effect the proposed residence. <br />Discussion then followed between Councilman Rehrer and Director of Community Services <br />Calvin Wang regarding the possible future widening of La Loma Avenue. <br />Mr. Fazio concluded that the Planning Commission, at a public hearing held Decem- <br />ber 9, 1980, approved the Conditional Use Permit application subject to findings <br />and five conditions as listed in Planning Commission Resolution No. 977. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to approve Planning <br />Commission Resolution No. 977, together with findings and conditions as listed therein. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Teen Center <br />City Manager Trevino gave a status report on the proposed Teen Center, referring to <br />a memorandum and report from the Recreation Director Max Lofy, advising that Mr. <br />Lofy and Councilman Hayes have had meetings on the proposed Teen Center and are re- <br />questing more time in which to conduct an in-depth study on this matter. <br />Mr. Trevino concluded if Council concurs with the report as submitted by the Recrea- <br />tion Director Max Lofy, Staff would then recommend the Council instruct Mr. Lofy to <br />keep the Council advised of the progress, on a monthly basis, until such time as the <br />Teen Center program is finalized. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, approving Staff's recom- <br />mendation with regard to the proposed Teen Center. Unanimous vote. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIIINS: <br />PPrgnnnPl <br />City Manager Trevino reported that Staff recommends setting a public hearing, on <br />Tuesday, January 6, 1981, to amend the City's Pay and Classification Plan, concern- <br />ing reorganization in both the Police and Fire Departments. <br />DEC 16 1980 <br />
