Mr. Bjorklund again asked about the 3 8�
<br />9 preparation of the resolution to dismiss former
<br />City Manager Tom Calabrese, commenting on the remarks as made by City Attorney
<br />Edwards that he had not gotten instructions from any member of the City Council
<br />to draw up the document and he had done this on his own. Mr. Bjorklund continued
<br />his only concern is that Mr. Edwards is not an elected official of this City and
<br />in his capacity, how can he have the power to initiate an action that would fire
<br />the City Manager, unless, of course, he did receive instructions to draw up this
<br />resolution from someone other than the City Council. Mr. Bjorklund said his ques-
<br />tion is did the City Attorney initiate this action independently or did someone
<br />other than the City Council ask him to draw up this resolution.
<br />City Attorney Edwards responded to Mr. Bjorklund that he was incorrect with regard
<br />to his basic premise.
<br />Mr. Bjorklund then asked Mr. Edwards you were asked, or you were not asked, to draw
<br />up the resolution?
<br />Mr. Bjorklund concluded that he would like to request the resignations of Council-
<br />man Temby, Councilman Rehrer and Councilwoman Cisneros for their concerted efforts
<br />and their blatant, irresponsible action in the reinstatement of Jerry Young.
<br />La Placita de A ua Mansa
<br />Mr. Frank Rebollo, Chairman of the Board of La Placita de Agua Mansa Restoration
<br />Association, advised the Council Members and public that the Association will
<br />have a meeting on Wednesday, April 2, 1980, to bring the citizens up to date
<br />with their goals and the proposed Redevelopment Agency survey. Mr. Rebollo in-
<br />vited everyone to attend.

<br />Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:14 p. m.

<br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above
<br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales
<br />presiding.
<br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
<br />Invocation was offered by Councilman Leroy Rehrer.
