383 <br />COUNCIL MEETING <br />MARCH 4, 1980 <br />A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales <br />presiding. <br />Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Invocation was offered by the Reverend Jessup of the United Methodist Church of <br />Colton. <br />lffll 1 iS <br />Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Temby, and Mayor Gonzales. <br />Also present were City Manager Gonzales, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk <br />Ramos. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving Item Nos. <br />�j 2, 4 and 5 of the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />Warrants <br />33691 through 33935 <br />12015, 12305 through 12308 <br />12441 through 12631 <br />�[ February 28, 1980 Inclusive <br />Surplus Vehicles <br />Request authorization to dispose of excess vehicles. <br />Agreements <br />Salesperson at Hermosa Cemetery for the sale of cemetery plots. <br />Mi mifAc <br />City Attorney Edwards stated there is a correction to the Minutes of the meeting <br />held February 19, 1980, concerning the deletion of the last paragraph and last <br />line on Page 6, and the first paragraph on Page 7, under Assessments of the City <br />Manager's Reports and Recommendations. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to approve the Minutes of <br />February 19, 1980, with correction at outlined. Unanimous vote. <br />Bids <br />Mayor Gonzales stated that under Item No. 3 - Bids - the award of Bid for Street <br />Light Standards and Fixtures is removed from the Agenda. <br />City Manager Gonzales advised that the two lower bids on this item, from General <br />Electric and Graybar Electric, did not meet the specifications as set forth by <br />the City's Electric Department, therefore, Staff is recommending that those two <br />bids be disqualified and the bid award be made to C.E.D., Consolidated Electric <br />Distributors, for the Street Light Standards and Fixtures. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Temby, awarding Bid for Street <br />Light Standards and Fixtures to C.E.D. as recommended by Staff. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Temby, authorizing advertise- <br />ment for Bids on 1980 Weed Abatement Program and approving Resolution No. 3989. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 3989 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DECLAR- <br />ING WEEDS GROWING UPON THE STREETS OR SIDEWALKS OR UPON PRI- <br />VATE PROPERTY AND RUBBISH, REFUSE OR DIRT UPON PARKWAYS, SIDE- <br />WALKS OR PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON TO BE A <br />PUBLIC NUISANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THE ABATEMENT THEREFOR IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 39501, 39561, 39561.5, 39562, 39563, <br />39567.1, ALSO 39568-39586 CHAPTER 13, ARTICLE 3, TITLE 4, <br />DIVISION 3 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. <br />
