383 COUNCIL MEETING MARCH 4, 1980 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 7:30 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Gonzales presiding. Mayor Gonzales led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Invocation was offered by the Reverend Jessup of the United Methodist Church of Colton. lffll 1 iS Council Members present were Hayes, Cisneros, Rehrer, Temby, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Gonzales, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos. CONSENT CALENDAR: Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, approving Item Nos. �j 2, 4 and 5 of the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. Warrants 33691 through 33935 12015, 12305 through 12308 12441 through 12631 �[ February 28, 1980 Inclusive Surplus Vehicles Request authorization to dispose of excess vehicles. Agreements Salesperson at Hermosa Cemetery for the sale of cemetery plots. Mi mifAc City Attorney Edwards stated there is a correction to the Minutes of the meeting held February 19, 1980, concerning the deletion of the last paragraph and last line on Page 6, and the first paragraph on Page 7, under Assessments of the City Manager's Reports and Recommendations. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Mayor Gonzales, to approve the Minutes of February 19, 1980, with correction at outlined. Unanimous vote. Bids Mayor Gonzales stated that under Item No. 3 - Bids - the award of Bid for Street Light Standards and Fixtures is removed from the Agenda. City Manager Gonzales advised that the two lower bids on this item, from General Electric and Graybar Electric, did not meet the specifications as set forth by the City's Electric Department, therefore, Staff is recommending that those two bids be disqualified and the bid award be made to C.E.D., Consolidated Electric Distributors, for the Street Light Standards and Fixtures. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Temby, awarding Bid for Street Light Standards and Fixtures to C.E.D. as recommended by Staff. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Hayes, seconded by Councilman Temby, authorizing advertise- ment for Bids on 1980 Weed Abatement Program and approving Resolution No. 3989. Unanimous vote. RESOLUTION NO. 3989 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DECLAR- ING WEEDS GROWING UPON THE STREETS OR SIDEWALKS OR UPON PRI- VATE PROPERTY AND RUBBISH, REFUSE OR DIRT UPON PARKWAYS, SIDE- WALKS OR PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND PROVIDING FOR THE ABATEMENT THEREFOR IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 39501, 39561, 39561.5, 39562, 39563, 39567.1, ALSO 39568-39586 CHAPTER 13, ARTICLE 3, TITLE 4, DIVISION 3 OF THE GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
