Refuse Collection Discussion followed on the Refuse Budget with regard to twice a week pick up, the possibility of contracting out, etc. Staff was requested to resubmit an updated five year plan to indicate costs involved and various alternatives. Cemetery Mr. Hutton reported the Cemetery budget remains essentially the same, with a request for one additional part-time caretaker shown on Page 603. Discussion followed on money used to subsidize the Cemetery and possible cost changes to be shown in a future report. Library Ms. Martine Hornburg, City.Librarian, reported the Library budget reflects very small increases in book fees. Ms. Hornburg reported the 04 Account on Page 628, should reflect previously granted authorization to expend State funds for two part-time employees, therefore, that amount should be reappropriated. Ms. Horn - burg stated she had also requested an additional part-time position and that would be for an Intermediate Clerk Typist. City Manager Elliott reported an amount of $12,000 has been allocated to repair the Library roof with a foam spray as was used at the Civic Center. Recreation Recreation Director Lofy reported a 25� increase for part-time people on Page 644. Mr. Lofy stated this does not include the City Center Aides. After discussion and recommendation by Councilwoman Garcia and the City Manager, concensus was to include the Community Center Aides in the 25� hourly increase. Inclusion of the Center Aides amounted to an addition to the budget of $750.00. Mr. Lofy reported due to leakage and required repair of the pool, the Plunge opening will be delayed until a later date. Councilman Rios and Mr. Lofy thanked the Parks and Recreation Commission for their work and continued interest in the community.
