W. Beck has had
time to produce their Water Study Report.
Building & Planning
Councilman Rios said he was of the opinion that the request of the Building &
Planning Director for an additional inspector, should be looked into due to
the possibility of errors as stated in the request.
City Manager Elliott reported he has recommended the department use overtime
and that in the recent past, the department has been down somewhat, due .to
sick leave and because one of the inspectors resigned. City Manager Elliott said
the department is back to full staff and in time, the workload should improve.
Mr. Elliott said that he has been in contact with an Orange County firm to do
the Colton School District Impact Study Report and when this has been accom-
plished the City will be in a better position to determine what type of fees
will be needed prior to permitting.additional development projects to proceed.
Mr. Elliott stated until this is accomplished, there:.is a building moratorium.
Planning Director Aguilera stated even with the moratorium, the City has many
previously approved projects currently underway that are in various phases
requiring continuous inspections.
