RESOLUTION NO. <br />129 <br />4685 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN. <br />(FILE INDEX NO. G-3-85) <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1693 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING <br />(Second Reading) ORDINANCE NO. 1602, AS AMENDED, AND PROVIDING <br />FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIONS. <br />Ordinance No. 1694 <br />Second Reading <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 1694 for Second Reading, <br />reading it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1694 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AMENDING <br />(Second Reading) ORDINANCE NO. 16029 AND TITLE 18 OF THE COLTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE, SECTION 18.16.0900 PARKING. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to pass <br />Second Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 1694. Unanimous vote. <br />Ordinance No. 1697 <br />O First Reading <br />W <br />(D City Attorney Edwards referred to a memorandum from Electric Utility <br />0 Director Drews, and Ordinance No. 1697, which authorizes Mr. Drews to <br />co execute certain agreements on behalf of the City of Colton. <br />Q Mr. Edwards said if Council concurs, a motion to pass First Reading'of <br />Ordinance No. 1697 would be in order. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to pass First <br />Reading and waive further reading of Ordinance No. 1697. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1697 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING <br />' (First Reading) THE ELECTRICAL UTILITY DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE AND <br />EXECUTE CERTAIN AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mrs. Betty Cook, 844 Edgehill Drive, Colton, advised that the Colton <br />Area Museum Association was inviting everyone to attend the "Holiday <br />Home Tour" on Sunday, December 15, 1985, from 1:00 to 4:00 p. m., at <br />the Colton Museum. Mrs. Cook stated there will be prizes and presents <br />given away, tours of some of the older homes in Colton, etc. Mrs. Cook <br />advised the tickets were $5.00 per person, and everyone is encouraged <br />to attend. <br />Mr. John Delaney, 845 East C Street, Colton, advised that Karate <br />Championships will be held in Colton on Saturday, December 14, 1985, <br />from 10:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m., and the proceeds from this event will <br />go to the Mexico Reconstruction Fund. Mr. Delaney stated this is a <br />very worthwhile event and for an important cause. <br />CLOSED SESSION: <br />The City Council adjourned to Closed Session at 7:48 p. m., to discuss <br />Matters of Pending Litigation, pursuant to Government Code Section <br />54956.9(c), and reconvened at 8:38 p. m., all Members present. <br />A young member of the Colton Cub Scouts explained that members of his <br />troup were attending the Council Meeting this evening to observe the <br />business meeting for credit in obtaining their Citizenship Badges. <br />Members of the City Council commended the Scouts and encouraged them <br />in their future endeavors. <br />Mr. Rodriguez, of the Mexican Consul, said they greatly appreciate the <br />joint efforts of the various agencies in raising money for the Recon- <br />struction Fund that has been established to aid and assist in Mexico. <br />
