(14) Fleming Park <br />Request for use of Fleming Park, Cub Scout Pack #42, <br />Saturday, March 30, 1985, 2:00 to 3:30 p. m. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to ap- <br />prove the Consent Calendar. Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Resolution of Commendation <br />Gilbert Gularte and Joel Rios <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full Resolutions of Commendation honoring <br />Gilbert Gularte and Joel Rios for their heroic efforts in saving <br />the life of Russ Bertram. The Resolutions were accepted by Mr. <br />Gularte and Mr. Rios. <br />Acting Police Chief Paul Connolly also presented Mr. Gularte and Mr. <br />Rios with plaques commending them for their services. <br />Mr. Frank Stallworth, Field Representative for the office of Senator <br />Ruben S. Ayala, presented both Mr. Gularte and Mr. Rios with Certifi- <br />cates of Recognition, signed by Senator Ruben S. Ayala, in honor of <br />their successful rescue of Russ Bertram. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Conditional Use Permit <br />File Index No. C-13-84. <br />Mayor Huntoon referred to a letter from Matthew Kurilich requesting <br />a continuance of the Public Hearing to Tuesday, April 2, 1985, on <br />Index No. C-13-84, Conditional Use Permit. <br />City Attorney Edwards stated that Mr. Kurilich understands this is <br />the last time the Public Hearing will be continued. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros, to con- <br />tinue Public Hearing on Index No. C-13-84, Conditional Use Permit, <br />requested by Matthew Kurilich, to Tuesday, April 2, 1985. Vote was <br />unanimous. <br />C.D.B.G. <br />Sewer Improvements <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Director of Community Development submitted the Affidavit of Publi- <br />cation and reported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Planning Director Aguilera read his memorandum regarding a Performance <br />Assessment Report on the 1982-83 Community Development Block Grant <br />Sewer Improvements Project, B -82 -DH -06-0505, giving a breakdown of the <br />grant activities and expenditures, totalling $498,275.81, for construc- <br />tion, design, connection fees, etc., for the sewer improvements. <br />Mr. Aguilera stated all financial obligations incurred on this project <br />have been liquidated, and all work has been completed as outlined in <br />the detailed Performance Assessment Report. <br />Mr. Aguilera concluded if Council concurs with the Report, a motion to <br />accept the Performance Assessment Report as being a complete descrip- <br />tion of project activities and expenditures for Grant No. B -82 -DH -06- <br />0505 and authorize Staff to submit the Report to H.U.D. would be in <br />order. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Upon no one stepping forward, moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by <br />Councilwoman Cisneros, the Public Hearing was terminated. Unanimous <br />vote. <br />MAR 19 1985 <br />
