202 Ms. Hornburg requested a part time Library Assistant I to work in the Children's Division, to provide full coverage when the Librarian is not scheduled. The City Council added the request for a full time Library Assistant at the Luque Center to the list to be considered prior to final budget adoption. RAMOS, CMC City Clerk * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING JUNE 119 1986 An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above given date at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. ROLL CALL: Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and Mayor Hutoon. Also present were Acting City Manager Edwards, Acting Finance Director Andengaard, Asst. Finance Director Young, and City Clerk Ramos. BUDGET FY 1986-87: PLANNING: Planning Director Aguilera stated he is requesting the addition of a Planning Assistant position. Mr. Aguilera stated this position had been previously funded and staff requested its deletion due to a drop in the workload. Mr. Aguilera said the workload has now increased and continues to do so. Mr. Aguilera said he also requested a position of Building Inspector. Mr. Aguilera restated with the City's rapid growth and development, the department really needs this position. Mr. Aguilera said he has expended over the $13,601 needed for a full time position this past year, by utilizing a part time inspector and having the regular staff work over time. Mr. Aguilera stated the Travel & Meetings Account, Page 196, reflects a decrease from his original request; therefore there may not be sufficient funds for the Planning Commissioners to attend the conferences. Planning Director Aguilera said an error in budgeting has occurred with regard to the $67,500 allocated by the City Council last year for the Agreement with Commercial Consultants for Updating the General Plan. Mr. Aguilera said the Budget Minutes from last year reflect the appropriation by the City Council, but somehow, the funding was never posted by Finance. Mr. Aguilera said $50,000 came out of Community Development Funds and $17,500 from the General Fund. Mr. Aguilera said because of the written agreement, he is requesting that the City Council reallocate the $17,500 in this budget. JUN 11 1986
