RAMOS, CMC <br />City Clerk <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING <br />JUNE 119 1986 <br />An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton <br />was held on the above given date at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall, Mayor Huntoon presiding. <br />ROLL CALL: <br />Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Garcia, and <br />Mayor Hutoon. Also present were Acting City Manager Edwards, Acting <br />Finance Director Andengaard, Asst. Finance Director Young, and City <br />Clerk Ramos. <br />BUDGET FY 1986-87: <br />PLANNING: <br />Planning Director Aguilera stated he is requesting the addition of <br />a Planning Assistant position. Mr. Aguilera stated this position <br />had been previously funded and staff requested its deletion due to a <br />drop in the workload. Mr. Aguilera said the workload has now <br />increased and continues to do so. <br />Mr. Aguilera said he also requested a position of Building Inspector. <br />Mr. Aguilera restated with the City's rapid growth and development, <br />the department really needs this position. Mr. Aguilera said he has <br />expended over the $13,601 needed for a full time position this past <br />year, by utilizing a part time inspector and having the regular staff <br />work over time. <br />Mr. Aguilera stated the Travel & Meetings Account, Page 196, reflects <br />a decrease from his original request; therefore there may not be <br />sufficient funds for the Planning Commissioners to attend the <br />conferences. <br />Planning Director Aguilera said an error in budgeting has occurred <br />with regard to the $67,500 allocated by the City Council last year <br />for the Agreement with Commercial Consultants for Updating the General <br />Plan. Mr. Aguilera said the Budget Minutes from last year reflect the <br />appropriation by the City Council, but somehow, the funding was never <br />posted by Finance. Mr. Aguilera said $50,000 came out of Community <br />Development Funds and $17,500 from the General Fund. Mr. Aguilera <br />said because of the written agreement, he is requesting that the City <br />Council reallocate the $17,500 in this budget. <br />JUN 11 1986 <br />
