279 City Manager Benest requested an Adjourned Meeting for Tuesday, Novem- ber 25, 1986, at 5:30 p. m. After discussion, on Council consensus, an Adjourned Meeting was sched- uled for Tuesday, November 25, 1986, at 6:00 p. m. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: Mayor Gonzales recommended that the City look into the possibility of establishing an ordinance pertaining to rent stabilization for mobile home parks only. Mayor Gonzales stated there are some very real prob- lems existing at some of the parks, especially Lake Cadena. Mayor Gonzales suggested that a draft ordinance be prepared and presented at the next regular Council Meeting for review and consideration. Councilman Rehrer stated this matter was placed on the ballot and was defeated, and he felt that the residents, owners, and their attorneys should sit down and discuss this matter in greater detail, and see if they can't work something out. Councilwomen Cisneros and Garcia felt the Council should make every effort to help and assist the community as necessary, and agreed that Q a study should be made on this matter and a report prepared for review ❑ and consideration, and brought back at a future meeting. Lo City Manager Benest stated Staff would like to investigate other possi- ❑ ble alternatives in this regard and have enough time to do more exten- ❑ sive research, and bring this back to the City Council in approximately Q thirty days. Moved by Mayor Gonzales, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, instructing Staff to prepare a study/report for review and consideration pertain- ing to rent control exclusively for mobile home parks. Motion carried with Councilman Rehrer voting NO. ADJOURNMENT: Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilwoman Cisneros and unani- mously passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the meeting at 8:45 p. m., to meet for an Adjourned Meeting on Tuesday, November 25, 1986, at 6:00 p. m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall. ROLL CALL: Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, RehrerGarcia, and Mayor Gonzales. Also present were City Manager Benest, City Attorney Edwards, and City Clerk Ramos.
