Unanimous vote. MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: Proclamations Mayor Huntoon read in full a Proclamation declaring the week of February 16 through 22, 1986, as ENGINEER'S WEEK. O Resolution of Recognition Councilman Rehrer read in full a Resolution of Recognition honoring LD Michael Charles Sachs for his dedicated service to the Boy Scouts of 0 America. CO PUBLIC HEARINGS: Q Appeals A & K Development, et al Mayor Huntoon announced this is a continuation of the Public Hearing to consider an Appeal filed by A & K Development on a zone change application and general plan amendment. City Attorney Edwards then read in full a letter dated February 10, 1986, from Joseph C. Bonadiman requesting that the City Council make no decision on this matter at this time, and send this item back to the Planning Commission for redesign. Moved'by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to refer the Appeal filed by A & K Development, et al, on Index Nos. A-2-84 and G-2-84, back to the Planning Commission for its meeting of March 25, 1986. Unanimous vote. Mr. Dick Yost, 23247 Barton Road, Colton, stated the property owners in the area are very desirous of retaining the RE zoning and hoped the City Council would take action in that regard. Mayor Huntoon advised this matter was being referred back to the Plann- ing Commission for redesign and study, and the Council would be making a decision after that. Mr. Glenn Hart, Cahuilla Drive, also spoke in opposition to the matter. General Plan Amendment Res. No. R-17-86 Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Ramos submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported that no protests or objections had been received. Planning Director Aguilera stated the General Plan Amendment, Index No. G-4-85, involves the same area as the zone change, Index No. A- 9-85, which was discussed at a previous Council meeting and First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-2-86 was passed, relating to the Agua Mansa Industrial Corridor Specific Plan and Environmental Impact Report. Mr. Aguilera advised the Planning Commission reviewed the General Plan Amendment at a public hearing held January 14, 1986, and recommended approval as outlined in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2070.
