Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proposed Rialto Tire Burning Plant <br />Mr. Mike Williams, representing the Concerned Citizens of the Inland <br />Empire, made a brief presentation to the Council in opposition to the <br />Tire Burning Plant proposed in the City of Rialto. Mr. Williams <br />requested that the City Council adopt a resolution in opposition. <br />� r <br />' Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, to <br />adopt a Resolution in opposition to the Rialto Tire Burning Plant. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />Boards & Commissions <br />Cemetery Commission <br />O <br />co <br />LD <br />co <br />Q <br />Appointment to the Cemetery Commission to fill the unexpired term of <br />Michael Garcia, who resigned, was carried over by Mayor Huntoon pending <br />nominations by Council Members. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />West Valley Redevelopment Project <br />Mayor Huntoon declared both the Council and the Agency are simul- <br />taneously convened for the purpose of conducting a joint public <br />hearing during which the Council and Agency will take public testimony <br />prior to considering the adoption of a Redevelopment Plan for the <br />West Valley Redevelopment Project. <br />Mayor Huntoon stated the purpose and scope of the hearing is to consider <br />the adoption of the Redevelopment Plan for the West Valley Redevelopment <br />Project, including consideration of all objections which may be made <br />at the hearing to the Plan or the Environmental Impact Report. <br />Redevelopment Agency Chairperson Cisneros called for Roll Call. <br />Members Present: Rios, Huntoon, Rehrer, Garcia, Chairperson Cisneros. <br />Chairperson Cisneros introduced RESOLUTION NO. 479, Resolution of the <br />Redevelopment Agency of the City of Colton approving its Report on the <br />Redevelopment Plan for the West Valley Redevelopment Project, and <br />Transmitting the Report and the Redevelopment Plan to the City Council <br />of the City of Colton. <br />Moved by Member Rios, seconded by Member Rehrer, to approve RESOLUTION <br />N0. 479. Unanimous vote. <br />Chairperson Cisneros introduced RESOLUTION NO. 480, Resolution of the Agency <br />finding that the provision of low/moderate-income housing outside the <br />West Vally Redevelopment Project is of benefit to the Project. This finding <br />is recommended because there is a limited amount of residential land in the <br />West Valley Redevelopment Project appropriate for such housing, which amount <br />may be further reduced with future General Plan amendments, and because thea <br />are locations for such housing available in other parts of the community. <br />Moved by Member Huntoon, seconded by Member Rios, to approve RESOLUTION <br />NO. 480. Unanimous vote. <br />Mayor Huntoon introduced RESOLUTION NO. R-105-86, Resolution of the <br />Council finding that the provision of low/moder.ate-income housing <br />outside the West Valley Redevelopment Project is of benefit to the <br />Project. This action is parallel to the action of the Agency. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-105-86.
