R-107-86 - RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE STREET <br />SUPERINTENDENT ON COST OF ABATING NUISANCE. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />Acting City Manager Edwards referred to a letter dated June 26, 1986, <br />O from Sheila Anne Rios, Secretary of the Colton Centennial Committee, <br />requesting the City Council select a logo design for the Colton Cen- <br />tennial from those submitted. The Committee would then prepare a <br />LO plaque to be presented to the winner on July 11, 1986, at the Museum <br />at 5:30 p. m. <br />Q After discussion, moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman <br />Garcia, selecting and approving the Logo as submitted by Hazel Olson. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Orange Coast Yellow Cab <br />Acting City Manager Edwards referred to his memorandum regarding sett- <br />ing for public hearing the application from Orange Coast Yellow Cab <br />Company to operate taxicabs in the City of Colton for no later than <br />August 5, 1986. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to set for <br />public hearing on Tuesday, July 15, 1986, the application from Orange <br />Coast Yellow Cab Company to operate taxicabs in the City of Colton. <br />Unanimous vote. <br />City Hall <br />Mr. Edwards referred to a letter and material submitted by Consuela <br />Ekhart regarding the rehabilitation of City Hall in conjunction with <br />the forthcoming Centennial Celebration. Mr. Edwards stated this was <br />an informational item only. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 0-13-86 <br />First Reading <br />City Attorney Edwards referred to his memorandum regarding Ordinance <br />No. 0-13-86, which will amend Ordinance No. 1446, passed in 1974, and <br />will continue in effect the old ordinances, Nos. 122 and 125, which were <br />inadvertently repealed by Ordinance No. 1446. Mr. Edwards stated Ordi- <br />nance No. 0-13-86 will correct that mistake and include authorizing the <br />operation of the electric light system and the issuing of bonds for the <br />construction of that system. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to pass <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 0-13-86, and waive full reading.
