<br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Continuation of the Public Hearing.
<br />City Clerk Ramos submitted the Notice of Posting Continuance and re-
<br />ported that no additional protests or objections had been received.
<br />Planning Director Aguilera advised in view of the protest, of Parcel
<br />No. 284-212-44, it was Staff's responsibility to ascertain whether or
<br />not this property was valued at more than fifty percent of the total
<br />valuation for the entire 22.24 acres. Mr. Aguilera then outlined the
<br />information received from the County with regard to valuation of the
<br />proponents property and valuation of the opponents property, and the
<br />percentages of total. Mr. Aguilera stated in view of this information
<br />supplied by the County, the City Council can legally annex the terri-
<br />tory in question as recommended by LAFCO, the Planning Commission and
<br />Staff .
<br />Mr. Aguilera concluded it is recommended the City Council approve Reso-
<br />lution No. R-19-86 for Annexation South 43.
<br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter.
<br />Cynthia Ludvigsen, 1839 Commercenter West, San Bernardino, spoke on be-
<br />half of,her clients, Mr. & Mrs. Stout, owners of the property at 12450
<br />Reche Canyon Road, stating they were very much opposed to their property
<br />being included in this annexation, and they did not want to be annexed
<br />to the City of Colton. Attorney Ludvigsen disagreed with'the valua-
<br />tion of the property as shown in the Staff report.
<br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, the public
<br />hearing was terminated. Unanimous vote.
