Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR'S REPORTS AND PROCLAMATIONS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Huntoon read in full two Proclamations declaring the week of <br />May 18 through 24, 1986, as SMALL BUSINESS WEEK and CALIFORNIA TRAFFIC <br />SAFETY WEEK. Acting Chief of Police Connolly accepted the Proclamation <br />for Traffic Safety Week. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br />Zoning/General Plan Amendment <br />A & K Development, et al <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />City Clerk Ramos -submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported on <br />a letter received from Joseph Bonadiman, advising that the developer, <br />A & K Development, et al, was requesting that their application for a <br />zone change and general plan amendment be withdrawn. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to termi- <br />nate the Public Hearing and drop the matter concerning the zone change <br />and general plan amendment requested by A & K Development, et al. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />Personnel <br />Res. No. R-63-86 <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Acting Personnel Officer Edwards submitted the Affidavit of Posting and <br />reported that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Edwards advised the Public Hearing this evening is for the purpose <br />of amending the Pay and Classification Plan by changing the position of <br />Firefighter Specialist to Fire Captain, as recommended by the Fire Chiu'',' <br />during last year's budget sessions. Mr. Edwards stated the Personnel <br />Department, however, after reviewing the job specifications, has recom- <br />mended the classification of Fire Prevention Officer, which more accur- <br />ately reflects the duties designated for that position. <br />Mr. Edwards concluded if Council concurs, it would be in order to ap- <br />prove the proposed job description and Resolution No. R-63-86. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />14Y 61 s <br />
