RESOLUTION NO. R-149-86 <br />parannnol <br />Res. No. R-150-86 <br />263 <br />- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-49-86 FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF AMENDING THE 1986-87 COMMUNITY DE- <br />VELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT. <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Benest reported with the retirement of our Recreation Director in <br />orf <br />December, the City is planning to reorganize human service functions in <br />the City and recruit and hire a Human Services Director. Mr. Benest <br />then outlined the responsibilities and duties of the proposed position, <br />advising the Human Services Director will oversee the Recreation Division, <br />Library Division, and a new Youth and Family Services Division, as indi- <br />cated on the organization chart for the Human Services Department. Mr. <br />Benest also outlined the education and experience required for the posi- <br />tion, stating the salary range has been set at 47.0 and will be included <br />0 in the Executive Unit. Mr. Benest concluded Staff recommends approval <br />Co of the Job Description for Human Services Director, the organizational <br />LO chart for the Human Services Department, and Resolution No. R-150-86, <br />0 amending the Pay and Classification Plan. <br />00 Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Q <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, the Public <br />Hearing was terminated. Unanimous vote. <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve the <br />Job description for Human Services Director, the organizational chart <br />for the Human Services Department, and Resolution No. R-150-86. Vote <br />was unanimous. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-150-86 <br />Personnel <br />Res. No. R-151-86 <br />- RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON ESTABLISHING A PAY AND CLASSIFICA- <br />TION PLAN FOR SPECIFIED POSITIONS OF THE <br />EXECUTIVE UNIT OF THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />Mayor Huntoon declared the Public Hearing open. <br />Personnel Officer Benest submitted the Affidavit of Posting and reported <br />that no protests or objections had been received. <br />Mr. Benest reviewed his memorandum relating to the position of Human <br />Resources Manager, which will replace the classifications of Personnel <br />Analyst I and II, and will be placed in the Executive Unit, due to the <br />confidential nature of the high-level work involved and representing <br />top management in dealings with labor negotiations. Mr. Benest also <br />reported on the experience and educational requirements, stating this <br />position has been set at a salary range of 42.0." <br />Mr. Benest concluded Staff recommends approval of the job description <br />for Human Resources Manager and Resolution No. R-151-86, amending the <br />Pay and Classification Plan. <br />Mayor Huntoon asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilwoman Garcia, the Public <br />Hearing was terminated.
