112 <br />with a like increase in General Fund revenues and a majority of this <br />increase will go to fund the operation of a new fire station in the <br />Cooley Ranch area. The proposed budget contains twenty-three new <br />positions, twelve of which will operate the new fire station. <br />City Manager Keane recommended City Council take action on the following: <br />(1) Adopt fiscal year 1989-90 revenue projections as specified. <br />(2) Adopt the following fiscal year 1989-90 Budget and Personnel <br />Resolutions incorporating actions taken by Council during their <br />June 13, 14 and 219 1989, budget hearings, titled as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLTON ADOPTING THE BUDGET <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1989-90 <br />and <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTH- <br />ORIZING REGULAR AND SPECIAL POSITIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />PROVISIONS OF THE BASIC SALARY RESOLUTIONS AND ANNUAL BUDGET <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1989-90 <br />City Manager Keane reported Resolution No. R-88-89 has been revised to <br />incorporate the compensation increase for the Planning Commissioners. <br />The revised portion is before the City Council on the dias. Reso- <br />lution No. R-89-89 has been revised to include the position of the <br />City Attorney. <br />Council Member Rios asked if that would take care of the City <br />Attorney's memorandum. <br />City Manager Keane responded it would. <br />Council Member Rios inquired about funding for the Police Explorer <br />Program. Chief of Police Connally reported the program would continue <br />at the current level. <br />Mayor Gonzales read a memorandum from Council Member Rehrer regarding <br />a proposed salary increase for City Treasurer, Mike Williams. <br />City Manager Keane recommended that inasmuch as the memorandum from <br />Council Member Rehrer proposes that the Redevelopment Agency contri- <br />bute the extra funds, that this matter be tabled until the Agency <br />considers its budget in August. <br />Moved by Council Member Cisneros, seconded by Council Member Rehrer, <br />to approve staffs recommendations and adopt resolutions R-88-89 and <br />R-89-89. Unanimous vote. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance 0-12-89 - City Attorney Edwards introduced ordinance <br />0-12-89 for second reading, reading title and number. <br />Moved by Council Member Rios, seconded by Member Lofy, to waive full <br />reading and adopt Ordinance 0-12-89. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />0-12-89 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 10099 <br />SECTIONS 6.16.240 AND 6.16.250 OF THE COLTON <br />MUNICIPAL CODE ESTABLISHING SERVICE CHARGES <br />FOR SOLID WASTE COLLECTION FOR RESIDENTIAL <br />COLLECTION AND COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL <br />COLLECTION. <br />Ordinance No. 0-13-89 - City Attorney Edwards introduced ordinance <br />0-13-89 for second reading, reading title and number. <br />Moved by Council Member Cisneros, seconded by Member Rios, to waive <br />full reading and adopt Ordinance No. 0-13-89.
