Unanimous vote. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read in full a Proclamation declaring June 14, 1989, as <br />NATIONAL FLAG DAY. The Proclamation will be mailed to the National Flag <br />Day Foundation. <br />Resolutions <br />Mayor Gonzales referred to his memorandum and Resolution No. R-70-89, <br />in support of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, CPR, and AB 2039. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />Resolution No. R-70-89. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-70-89 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON SUPPORTING THE PROPER EDUCATION AND <br />TRAINING IN THE CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION <br />(CPR) AND SUPPORT FOR AB 2039. <br />DARE <br />Pastors Robert Johnson and Jack Coleman spoke to the City Council re- <br />garding initiating the DARE Program in Colton schools, and taking af- <br />firmative action against the drug problem in our community. <br />Pastor Johnson said funding has been sought through a grant in the amount <br />of $50,000, and they have learned that Colton was number 11 on a list <br />of 60 for receiving a grant.
