M <br />Councilwoman Cisneros suggested that Staff make efforts to obtain in- <br />formation from the applicant as to what uses he intends for the pro- <br />posed project. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Sewer Service Rates <br />Ord. No. 0-11-89 <br />City Manager Leslie Keane reported from her memorandum regarding a pro- <br />posed Urgency Ordinance, which would amend Ordinance No. 0-7-89, revis- <br />ing sewer service rates and connection charges, and would eliminate the <br />requirement of being able to show daily residential wastewater flow on <br />the average of no more than 150 gpd, which calculation is equivalent to <br />20 ccf of water usage for a billing cycle. Ms. Keane advised that most <br />of the senior citizens applicants could not meet this requirement. <br />Ms. Keane stated if Council wishes to modify the criteria used to quali- <br />fy senior households for the reduced rate, adoption of Ordinance No. <br />0-11-89, and Urgency Ordinance which would be effective immediately <br />upon adoption, would be appropriate. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve <br />and adopt Ordinance No. 0-11-89, an Urgency Ordinance. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-11-89 - AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON AMENDING EXHIBIT "A" OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 0-7-89 RELATING TO THE SENIOR CITIZENS' SEWER <br />SERVICE CHARGE. <br />Budget Sessions <br />On Council consensus, the dates for Budget Meetings were scheduled for <br />Tuesday, June 13; Wednesday, June 14; Wednesday, June 21; and Thursday, <br />June 29, 1989. <br />Council Meeting Date <br />On Council consensus, the first City Council Meeting in July would be <br />deferred to July 18, 1989, and there would be only one Council Meeting <br />held in July. <br />1 <br />Closed Session <br />City Manager Leslie Keane requested a Closed Session at the end of the <br />Council Meeting. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Ordinance No. 0-8-89 <br />Second Reading <br />City Attorney Edwards introduced Ordinance No. 0-8-89 for Second Reading, <br />reading it as to number and title only: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-8-89 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLTON ACCEPTING THE <br />(Second Reading) PENAL CODE REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO THE SELECTION <br />AND TRAINING STANDARDS OF PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHERS. <br />Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to pass Second <br />Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 0-8-89.
