11 � <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Zone Change/General Plan Amendment <br />Community Development Director Jaime Aguilera introduced Ordinance No. <br />0-20-89 for Second Reading, along with Resolution No. R-134-89, pertain- <br />ing to a General Plan Amendment, for the Senior Citizen Housing Complex <br />to be located at the northeast quadrant of North La Cadena Drive and <br />"F" Street. <br />Economic Development Director Jennifer Thornberry reported on the Archi- <br />tectural Review and Design Competition for the Senior Citizen Housing <br />Complex, advising that the firm of Valerio Associates were the winners <br />for the Design Competition. Mrs. Thornberry said the Complex design <br />was reviewed and approved by the Redevelopment Agency, and Staff now <br />recommends that Council approve the architectural design of the Complex. <br />Mr. Aguilera said Staff recommends Council pass Second Reading and adopt <br />Ordinance No. 0-20-89, adopt Resolution No. R-134-89, and approve the <br />architectural design for the Senior Citizen Housing Complex. <br />Mayor Gonzales asked when the Senior Citizen Complex will be started. <br />Mrs. Thornberry replied that demolition of the existing structure will <br />be done in the latter part of November or first of December, 1989, and <br />construction of the new Complex should begin in March of 1990. <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Lofy, to pass <br />Second Reading and adopt Ordinance No. 0-20-89, adopt Resolution No. <br />R-134-89, and approve the Architectural Design for the Senior Citizen <br />Housing Complex. Unanimous vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 0-20-89 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />(Second Reading) COLTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 16029 AS AMENDED, <br />AND PROVIDING FOR CERTAIN ZONE RECLASSIFICATIO N^ <br />AS REQUESTED IN FILE INDEX NO. A-4-89. <br />RESOLUTION NO. R-134-89 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON, AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN, AS <br />ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 302330 FOR THE CITY <br />OF COLTON, AS REQUESTED IN FILE INDEX NO. G- <br />3-89. <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR'S REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Transportation/Taxes <br />City Manager Leslie Keane reported on approval of a Resolution adopting <br />a Five-year Project List for the City's share of Local Sales Tax for the <br />proposed Measure "I" County Transportation Improvement Program. The <br />Resolution outlines proposed projects that Measure "I" would finance if <br />approved on the November Ballot. The projects outlined are those Staff <br />would recommend, however, the list can be amended by the Council at any <br />time should other priorities arise. <br />Ms. Keane concluded Staff recommends adoption of Resolution No. R-135-89, <br />adopting a Five-year Project Plan for the County Transportation Improve- <br />ment Program, Measure "I". <br />Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to adopt <br />Resolution No. R-135-89 as outlined. Unanimous vote. <br />RESOLUTION NO.
