PUBLIC HEARINGS: C.D.B.G. Mayor Gonzales declared the Public Hearing open. Community Development Director Aguilera submitted the Affidavit of Publication and reported no protests or objections had been received. Mr. Aguilera reported on additional 1990-91 project funding requests for the YMCA from the San Bernardino County Department of Economic and Com- munity Development, received March 26, 1990. Mr. Aguilera stated in compliance with Federal regulations, a public hearing must be held to consider these requests and allow for public comment. Mr. Aguilera concluded Staff recommends that, due to the late submittal of projects from San Bernardino County ECD, and because the City Council previously approved allocations for the 1990-91 year, Staff recommends denial of the request as outlined. Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter. Moved by Councilwoman Cisneros, seconded by Councilman Rios, to close the Public Hearing. Unanimous vote. Moved by Councilman Lofy, seconded by Councilman Rehrer, to approve Staff's recommendation as outlined. Unanimous vote. City Clerk/Assistant Secretary Ramos stated pursuant to the appropriate sections of the California Community Redevelopment Law, notice has been duly given that the City Council of the City of Colton and the Redevelop- ment Agency for the City of Colton have authorized a Joint Public Hearing to consider the approval of a Redevelopment Disposition and Development Agreement (K Mart Corporation Store #3983). Notice of the Joint Public Hearing was published in The Sun, a newspaper of general circulation, on April 6, 1990, and April 10, 1990. Mayor Gonzales declared the City Council Public Hearing open. Chairperson Cisneros declared the Redevelopment Agency Public Hearing open. Chairperson Cisneros announced this is the time and place set for the continued Joint Public Hearing of the City Council of the City of Colton and the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton on the proposed ac- quisition and sale of real property to K Mart Corporation Store #3983, for the purpose of development of a 105,000 square foot store and re - 4 (SPR 17 f�0
