Mr. Aguilera reported on the Priority List of 1990-91 Community Devel-
opment Block Grant Projects, advising Colton has been allocated
$170,000 in C.D.B.G. funds, from the San Bernardino County Department
of Economic and Community Development, of which 10%. or $17,000, must
be withheld for contingencies, leaving $153,000 for the City to budget
for the 1990-91 Fiscal Year.
Mr. Aguilera reviewed the list of projects, approved by the County,
for C.D.B.G. allocation:
1. Urban Beautification Capital Improvements for
South La Cadena Drive Corridor $ 629000.
2. Graffiti Eradication Program 439500.
3. Senior Outreach Program 209000.
4. Youth Intervention Program 279500.
5. Contingency Fund (10X) 17,000.
Total Allocation $1709000.
Mr. Aguilera concluded if Council concurs with Staff's recommendations,
a motion to adopt the Priority List and Resolution No. R-11-90 would be
in order.
Mayor Gonzales asked if anyone present desired to speak on this matter.
Mr. Jon Zane, 958 North La Cadena Drive, Colton, and Mrs. Hazel Olson,
947 East Olive, Colton, spoke to the Council with regard to the Museum
and work that had to be completed in that building, mainly a new floor,
and requested that the Council give consideration to allocating funds
for this restoration project in order to complete the remaining work to
be done in the final phase.
Mr. Aguilera stated if there were Contingency Funds left at the end of
the Fiscal Year, possibly they could be used for the Museum.
Councilwoman Cisneros expressed her interest in the completion of the
Museum, and stated she hoped Staff would look for monies for this project.
Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to close the
Public Hearing. Unanimous vote.
Moved by Councilman Rehrer, seconded by Councilman Rios, to approve
Staff's recommendation and Resolution No. R-11-90. Unanimous vote.
RESOLUTION NO.
