Closed Session: <br />Mr. Sotelo stated there would be no Closed Session this evening. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mr. Mario Chavez, 851 West "H" Street, Colton, and Linda Rosco, spoke <br />to the City Council regarding their request for holding a carnival at <br />Veterans Park on July 13, 14 and 15, 1990, for benefit of their church, <br />Victory Outreach. Mr. Chavez stated he was told in order to hold the <br />carnival, it is necessary that he obtain a Conditional Use Permit and <br />pay fees. Mr. Chavez was requesting the City waive this requirement. <br />Community Development Director Jaime Aguilera explained the require- <br />ments and conditions to hold a carnival. <br />Discussion followed among Staff, Councilmembers and the applicants, after - <br />which it was suggested this matter be continued to an Adjourned Meeting <br />and Staff was instructed to provide additional information. <br />Mr. Garland Fredrickson, Lake Cadena Mobile Home Park, spoke about the <br />rent control ordinance, Ordinance No. 0-19A-89, asking when would this <br />go into effect. <br />City Attorney Edwards stated the City has now received the official re- <br />sults of the Election from the Registrar of Voters office, which was an <br />item under the Consent Calendar adopted by Resolution No. R-73-90, which <br />would be the effective date. <br />Mr. David Philbrick, Lake Cadena Mobile Home Park, stated he is the <br />Regional Manager of the Golden State Mobile Home Park Association, and <br />has been a resident of Lake Cadena Mobile Home Park for many years, and <br />he has also been very interested in the rent control ordinance. <br />Recess <br />The City Council recessed at 8:30 p.m., to take up the business of the <br />Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton, and reconvened at 8:35 p.m., <br />all Members present. <br />ADJOURNMENT: <br />Moved by Councilman Rios, seconded by Councilman Lofy and unanimously <br />passed, Mayor Gonzales adjourned the Meeting at 8:35 p.m., to meet for <br />an Adjourned Regular Meeting on Monday, July 9, 1990, at 10:00 a.m., in <br />the Council Chambers of City Hall. <br />00f <br />NE M.
