ADJOURNED CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />MAY 89 1990 <br />In accordance with notice duly and legally given, an Adjourned Regular <br />Meeting of the City Council of the City of Colton was held on the above <br />given date at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, Mayor <br />Gonzales presiding. <br />u nT_T_ r_ a T_T_ <br />Council Members present were Rios, Cisneros, Rehrer, Lofy, and Mayor <br />Gonzales. Also present were City Attorney Edwards, Legal Counsel Brown, <br />Attorney Olivier, City Clerk Ramos, and Economic Development Director <br />Thornberry. <br />JOINT PUBLIC HEARING: <br />Chairperson Cisneros asked for the Redevelolpment Agency Roll Call. <br />All present. <br />City Clerk/Agency Secretary Ramos announced pursuant to the appropriate <br />sections of the California Community Redevelopment Law, notice was duly <br />given that the City Council of the City of Colton and the Redevelopment <br />Agency for the City of Colton have authorized a Joint Public Hearing'to <br />consider the approval of a Redevelopment Disposition and Development <br />Agreement with Gatlin/Berger Developments, Inc. Notice of the Joint <br />Public Hearing was published in The Sun, a newspaper of general circu- <br />lation, on April 24, 1990, and May 1, 1990. <br />Mayor Gonzales declared the City Council Public Hearing open. <br />Chairperson Cisneros declared the Redevelopment Agency Public Hearing <br />open. <br />Chairperson Cisneros announced that this was the time and place set for <br />the Joint Public Hearing of the City Council of the City of Colton and <br />the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton on the proposed acquisi- <br />tion and sale of real property to Gatlin/Berger Developments, Inc., for <br />the purpose of development of a Shopping Center anchored by a 125,000 <br />square foot Wal-Mart Store and related improvements. At this Hearing <br />all persons who wish to speak for or against the proposed acquisition <br />and sale will have an opportunity to speak. <br />Chairperson Cisneros called upon Staff for summary of the Gatlin/Berger <br />Developments, Inc. Disposition and Development Agreement and proposed <br />acquisition and disposition. <br />Mr. Daniel E. Olivier, of Best, Best & Krieger, spoke to the Council/ <br />Agency with regard to the proposed Disposition and Development Agree- <br />ment with Gatlin/Berger Developments, Inc., for the proposed shopping <br />center development. <br />E <br />
