(21) Legal Fees <br />Approval of Amendment to Legal Services Agreement to Reduce Legal <br />Fees, RESOLUTION NO. R-42-92. <br />Motion by Councilmember Rehrer, seconded by Councilmember Roman, to accept <br />and approve the Consent Calendar. Unanimous Vote. <br />With City Council's approval, Mayor Gonzales announced that Item 28 is removed <br />from the agenda as requested by the City Manager. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Proclamations <br />Mayor Gonzales read the Proclamation declaring April 11, 1992 as WESTERN SAN <br />BERNARDINO SPECIAL OLYMPICS DAY at Colton High School. The Proclamation <br />was accepted by Ms. Jeanette Skinner and Ms. Cara Wildman who represented <br />Western San Bernardino Special Olympics. <br />Councilman Roman read the Proclamation declaring April 20-25, 1992, as <br />NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK, at the Colton Public Library. The Proclamation was <br />accepted by City Librarian Davis and Mrs. Dever of the Colton Woman's Club. <br />Councilman Lofy read a Resolution recognizing the importance of the Community <br />Block Grant Program and,joining with the San Bernardino County Board of <br />Supervisors and Congress, declared the Week of April 20-26, 1992, as NATIONAL <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WEEK. Community Development Director Aguilera <br />accepted the recognition. <br />Commendation <br />Mayor Gonzales read the Certificate of Appreciation presented to MR. DAVID <br />MENDOZA upon his retirement after 30 years of dedicated service in the City's <br />Sanitation Division. With family members present, Mr. Mendoza accepted his <br />certificate. Ms. Lorraine June, representative of the General Unit of the San <br />Bernardino Public Employees Association, presented Mr. Mendoza with a gift <br />check. <br />Awards <br />Councilman Lofy announced that the City Council unanimously agreed that it <br />wanted to recognize its citizens at large for outstanding work in this community. <br />0 <br />APR 7 1992 <br />
